Revision as of 08:10, 5 September 2014

The Eagle used in RE3 was described as a 6.0, not 5.0. Also, the foregrip attachment on the M4A1 isn't a shotgun, it's just a plain old vertical foregrip (though, admittedly, it resembles a shotgun or Surfire M900 foregrip). Here you can see clearer picture of the M4A1, as well as weapons from the rest of the games ~ http://www.residentevilfan.com/encyclopedia/details.asp?id=625 Spartan198 03:17, 20 January 2009 (UTC) Spartan198

Bazooka chat

Looks to big to be a Stinger, I say it's a Javalin.. - Thomas

the Javalin wasn't out when this game was made. Rockwolf66
Javelin's been in service since 1996 and had its first test flight in 1991. Resi 3 came out in
1999. Dongs 06:32, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Its not any of them, its probably made up just for him in the game, he can fire it many times with out reloading as if it was a handgun with a clip, what Stinger or Javelin can do that, and it really doesn't look like either of them and has short rockets not even half as long as its launcher. also it would be something like 7 feet long if you judge it in comparison to his size.

Magazine! A clip is a piece of metal that holds bullets in a single-file stack that is used to load a magazine. A Magazine is a metal box with a spring and follower that holds the rounds in reserve to be loaded directly into the weapon. There is a difference, and you should know it! - Gunmaster45

A Stripper Clip is what holds the rounds. - Ithaqua

A stripper clip loads an internal or detachable box magazine, a moon clip/speed loader loads a cylinder, and an en-block clip holds the rounds and serves as the walls of the magazine (the internals of the M1 Garand is just the spring and follower). Basically, a clip and a magazine are different. Period. - Gunmaster45

- It actually looks more like a modified Super Bazooka in concept art.

"Super Bazooka"? Spartan198

- The M9A1 "Super Bazooka" used in World War 2, perhaps a modernised version was made specially for him. Draco122

MP5 mystery

the weapon the SPF are using is not a Mp5A3 it is a MP5-J this is the type used by the Japanese SAT(Special,Assualt,Team). The makers of the game obviously just used the images of this weapon when makeing the game (also no odd coincidence that Tokyo Marui has made several iterations of the airsoft version of this weapon as oftin Japanese game makers use these as refriences). well thats all hope it helps :)

The only problem with that theory is (A) Marui also made an A3, so there's nothing to say that they didn't use one of those, (B) there is no real MP5J, it's just the name airsoft manufacturers use for the MP5F (the variant made for French Law Enforcement that is also used by the Japanese), and (C) the only ways to tell an A3 from an F visually is the stock (which has a thicker shoulder piece on the F) and the ambi sling mounts. The variants shown in the game have the standard A3 stock. Ergo, they're A3s.--PistolJunkie 22:11, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Samurai Edge: 92F or 92FS?

Sorry but I don't have this game. but does the Kendo fax really say 92F or does it say 92FS? If it really is a 92F, that means all the Samurai Edges in the RE games are 92F's, right?

Since RE3 is set in '98, it has to be an FS; the 92F was only produced up to the late '80s.

Keep in mind that this series also frequently makes use of the term "M92F". When a game makes that kind of amateurish mistake, you can only stake so much on the names that it gives its weapons.--PistolJunkie 22:17, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
So should they be called 92FS on all the RE pages?
I just checked my copy of Resident Evil Archive, and Kendo's fax did state that it's a M92F. Just because the 92F wasn't manufactured anymore, doesn't mean he won't be able to acquire them.--Wildcards 15:05, 13 February 2012 (CST)
I really doubt he'd be able to acquire enough numbers of a decade-long discontinued pistol to equip and maintain a police unit. Spartan198 (talk) 05:49, 20 March 2013 (EDT)
Wouldn't he only need to get enough just for the Alpha and Bravo team, not the entire Raccoon police force? And the cutscenes in RE3 did show the RPD guys using Browning HP's so wouldn't that make the Browning their standard sidearm with the 92F was just for STARS?Kornflakes89 (talk) 01:50, 11 August 2013 (EDT)
I remember hearing from somewhere that the RPD was in the process of phasing out the Browning for the Beretta when the outbreak occurred, but I don't recall where. I might make a thread about it over on REF and ask because there are a couple of walking RE encyclopedias there. LOL Spartan198 (talk) 09:49, 11 August 2013 (EDT)
Yeah maybe you should, would be interesting to find out. And yeah lol, I've seen plenty of walking Silent Hill, Metal Gear and Batman encyclopedias all over the place.Kornflakes89 (talk) 19:10, 12 August 2013 (EDT)

STI Edge

I don't believe the scope is on backwards as is written in the description. It looks like a scope with a small objective and longer eyepiece, like this one: http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk146/Iowegan_photo/MKIIIscopeL.jpg

Also, STI's Edge is available in 9x19 so I don't understand the page saying "It is incorrectly depicted using 9x19mm rounds" I'm not sure if circa 99 it was only available in .40 or what, but here is a link to STI's Edge page: http://www.stiguns.com/the-sti-edge/

It's been a while since I have played the game and if I'm missing information I didn't want to change anything on the page without some input from others. Thoughts?
