Major Dundee is a 1965 action film set during the time of the Civil and directed by Sam Peckinpah. The cast included Charlton Heston, Richard Harris, Jim Hutton, and James Coburn.

Major Amos Charles Dundee (Charlton Heston) and Capt. Benjamin Tyreen (Richard Harris) use Richards Cartridge Conversion Revolvers.
Remington New Army (mocked up Single Action Army)
Sgt. Gomez and Sgt. Chillum are seen carrying what are supposed to be Remington New Army revolvers. In reality, these revolvers appear to be Colt Single Action Army revolvers with a mock cylinder rod added to resemble the Civil War era handgun. Similar mockups were seen in such films as John Wayne's Rio Lobo and The Horse Soldiers.

Many characters in the film are armed with the handguardless Winchester Model 1892s, which is mocked as Henry 1860 rifles.
