The following weapons can be seen in Season 3 of the television series Criminal Minds:
Handguns
Glock 17
Third-Generation Glock 17 pistols are carried by Supervisory Special Agent Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), B.A.U. (Behavior Analysis Unit) Chief SSA Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler). Morgan carries his Glock 17 with a Streamlight TLR-2 weaponlight/laser module. Other FBI agents and some police officers are seen with Glock 17 pistols. A milita member in the episode "Identity" (3x07) remarks on Reid's unusual frontal appendix-carry for his Glock, stating "The way you wear that gun, you're just beggin' someone to take it off ya."
Glock 19
SSA Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) uses a Third-Generation Glock 19 as her sidearm. Glock 19 pistols are also carried by NYPD officers and detectives and other various police officers.
Glock 26
The Glock 26 is the backup weapon carried by both Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), both carried in ankle holsters. Morgan's Glock 26 is shown in two instances in Season 3 - First in the episode "In Name and Blood" (3x02), where he gives it to Prentiss (Paget Brewster) to use when she enters the house of a unsub (She did not have her standard Glock 19 at the time) and again in the episode "Penelope" (3x09), giving it to B.A.U. Technical Analyst Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) to defend herself when an unsub (later identified as Jason Clark Battle (Bailey Chase)) comes to her apartment trying to kill her after failing the first time. She thankfully does not need to use the weapon however, Battle fleeing after a short firefight with Morgan. A Glock 26 pistol is also the duty weapon of the B.A.U.'s 'Communications Liaison' SSA Jennifer 'J.J.' Jareau (A.J. Cook). She notably uses it in the episode "Penelope" to kill Jason Clark Battle.
SIG-Sauer P226
FBI Senior SSA Jason Gideon (Mandy Patinkin) carries a SIG-Sauer P226 as his sidearm. This is a realistic weapon since the FBI did issue the P226. The weapon is seen held by Gideon at the end of the Season 3 opening episode "Doubt" and later seen (for the final time) at Gideon's cabin by Dr. Reid at the conclusion of the following episode "In Name and Blood", Gideon's last episode on the series, the weapon laying on a desk next to his badge and a letter to Reid explaining his leaving the FBI.
Springfield Armory TRP
SSA David Rossi (Joe Mantegna), Gideon's replacement, carries a Springfield Armory TRP, a model of which is used by the FBI's elite HRT, throughout the series, this suggests he may have been HRT/SWAT trained to use this weapon. Rossi also has a background of serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, which also possibly helps explain his use of a 1911-type pistol.
Smith & Wesson Model 13
A Smith & Wesson Model 13 is used by former militia member Henry Frost (Kaj-Erik Eriksen) in "Identity" (3x07).
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Standard J-frame Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolvers are used by numerous unsubs (short for 'unknown-subjects') throughout the show. One is notably used at the conclusion of "Lucky" (3x08) by Jason Clark Battle (Bailey Chase) to shoot Garcia on her doorstep. Flashbacks of this scene appear in the next episode "Penelope" as well.
Smith & Wesson Model 442 Airweight
A Smith & Wesson Model 442 revolver is seen in an Unsub's confiscated backpack in the episode "In Heat" (3x17).
Smith & Wesson Model 27 / 28
An unsub draws what appears to be an N-frame Smith & Wesson Model 27 / 28 .357 Magnum revolver (Most likely a Model 28) at the end of the episode "About Face".
Beretta 92FS
Beretta 92FS pistols are used by many characters, including criminals and police officers, notably by Jason Clark Battle (Bailey Chase) to hold an agent hostage at BAU headquarters at the end of the episode "Penelope".
Beretta 950 Jetfire
In the Season 3 finale episode "Lo-Fi" (3x20), what is originally thought to be a single unsub - and later discovered to be multiple unsubs (as part of a terror cell) kill several civilians in New York City (with one member wounding a detective), all using Beretta 950 Jetfire pistols. Police ballistic analysts state it is chambered in .22 long rifle, and explains the caliber was most likely used since NYC background noise was often as loud as the report of a .22LR.
M1911A1
Various M1911A1 pistols are seen several times throughout the series.
Rifles
AR-15/M4 Carbine Variants
Throughout the series, FBI SWAT and several local police tactical units carry M4A1 carbines, both standard models and variants with various accessories. Former militia member Henry Frost (Kaj-Erik Eriksen) is seen with one holding a hostage on a hilltop in the episode "Identity". A teenage unsub also uses a standard M4A1 throughout the episode "Elephant's Memory".
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A2
Heckler & Koch MP5A2s are used by various SWAT teams in the series.
Shotguns
Remington 870
Remington 870]] shotguns are seen in some instances in Season 3, notably in "3rd Life" (3x12), when former hitman Jack Vaughan (Fredric Lane) holds one on his daughter's captor.
Over Under Double Barrel Shotgun
David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) is seen hunting with a Over-and-Under Double Barrel Shotgun at the beginning of the Season 3 episode "About Face" (3x06), his first episode on the series. It should be noted that actor Joe Mantegna is a big skeet shooter in real life.
Sniper Rifles
Winchester Model 70
In "Identity", Harris Townsend (Pat Skipper), a militia leader deputized by the sheriff, uses a Winchester Model 70 fitted with a scope and Harris bipod to kill a crazy former militia member and save a hostage. He gives the team the spent shell.
Other
M26 hand grenade
In Season 3's "Identity", militia member Francis Goehring (Michael Cudlitz) pulls the pin on an M26 hand grenade when stopped by law enforcement.
