The following guns were used in the film Black Sunday (1977):
Pistols and Revolvers
M1911A1
Palestinian terrorist leader Nageeb (Victor Campos) attempts to grab a Colt M1911A1 from his bedstand before being shot by Israeli commandos during a raid in Beirut. A disguised Israeli commando is also seen wielding a M1911A1 as the commandos flee the terrorist villa.
Smith & Wesson Model 28 Highway Patrolman
Terrorist Mohammed Fasil (Bekim Fehmiu) uses a Smith & Wesson Model 28 Highway Patrolman revolver (.357 magnum) to kill several federal agents and civilians during a bloody shootout in Miami.
Colt Lawman Mk III
A Colt Lawman Mk III Snubnose revolver is used by Major David Kabakov (Robert Shaw) to threaten businessman E. Muzi (Michael V. Gazzo) into identifying who had purchased explosives for use in a potential terrorist attack. Major Kabakov also uses it without the suppressor during the shoot-out/pursuit with terrorist Mohammed Fasil (Bekim Fehmiu). After careful review of the film I've concluded that Kabakov is actually using the Lawman Mk III 1st generation model instead of a cut down Colt New Service. Mainly based on the shape of the barrel and the distincitve front ramp sight of the mk III Lawman 1st gen snubnose. The old Colt New Service had a front sight that resembled a shark fin.The Lawman Mk III snub with the exposed ejector rod was made at the start of the Mk III production run and changed within a few years to a model with a ejector rod shroud. The size of the model is deceptive when viewed in a photo. It's very much a modern descendent of the classic Webley Bulldog revolver.
Walther PPK Pistol
During the scene that takes place in Major Kabakov's (Robert Shaw) hospital room his partner, Robert Moshevsky (Steven Keats), removes his sports jacket. It appears that he is wearing a shoulder holster with a Walther PPK in the holster. Since the only thing visible is the pistol's handle it is possible that it is a Walther PP instead.
Smith & Wesson Model 10 Revolver
A suppressed Smith & Wesson Model 10 Snub Nose Revolver is used by terrorist Dahlia Iyad (Marthe Keller) to shoot the original pilot of the Goodyear blimp so that Michael Lander could take his place.
Shotguns
Remington 870
Former Vietnam veteran Michael J. Lander (Bruce Dern) threatens Dahlia Iyad (Marthe Keller) with a Remington 870 shotgun when he becomes distraught over Dahlia's absence. However, she manages to get him to lay the weapon down.
Submachine Guns
Madsen M50
The Madsen M50 submachine gun is used by terrorist Dahlia Iyad (Marthe Keller) throughout the movie, who uses it to kill several police officers and to shoot down a police helicopter during the finale. Palestinian guards in Beirut are also seen with M50s.
IMI Uzi
A silenced IMI Uzi submachine gun is used by Mossad agent Major David Kabakov (Robert Shaw) during the Israeli commando raid in Beirut. He uses the weapon to kill several terrorists including Nageeb, but does not shoot Dahlia Iyad despite surprising her in the shower.
Smith & Wesson M76
A Smith & Wesson M76 submachine gun is used by FBI agent Sam Corley (Fritz Weaver) when he and Kabakov (Robert Shaw) chase the terrorist's Goodyear blimp in a helicopter during the finale. After Corley is injured by Dahlia, Kabakov (Robert Shaw) uses the M76 to shoot her and Michael Lander, preventing them from crashing the blimp into the Super Bowl stadium.
Rifles
M1 Carbine
M1 carbines are seen in the hands of Palestinian guerrillas, Israeli commandos and Miami SWAT officers.
M16 Rifle
An M16 rifle with a sound suppressor and AN/PVS-2 Starlight scope is used by Mossad agent Steven Moshevsky (Steven Keats) during the Israeli commando raid in Beirut.
Sporterized Springfield M1903
A Sporterized Springfield 1903 is used by Major David Kabakov (Robert Shaw) during the finale, before he switches to the M76 submachine gun.
Kalashnikov rifle
When Major David Kabakov learns of Dahlia Iyad's (Marthe Keller) identity during a secret meeting with an Egyptian intelligence officer, he is presented with a photo of her brandishing a Kalashnikov Variant.
