Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) carries a SIG-Sauer P226 as his sidearm (most likely due to his background as a Navy SEAL, which issues the P226) for the first four episodes of the show.
Beginning in "Nalowale" (S01E05), Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) switches over to the new SIG-Sauer P226 E2. Beginning in "Palekaiko" he carries it with a SIG-Sauer STL-900L Tactical Light/Laser mounted on the frame. The laser can be seen at the beginning of "Ke Kinohi".
In "Ke Kinohi" (S01E13), Danny 'Danno' Williams (Scott Caan) switches his sidearm from his SIG Pro to a Heckler & Koch P30. Also, as a result of a continuity error, the Heckler & Koch USP Compact used by Drago Zankovic (Peter Stormare) in "Ohana" (S1E02) becomes a newer Heckler & Koch P30 in a single close-up. It later goes back to a USP Compact when he's holding the gun in Kono's car. Nick Taylor (Max Martini) opens fire with the P30 in "Po'ipu" (S1E09).
The SIG Pro SP2009 is the main sidearm carried by Detective Danny "Danno" Williams (Scott Caan) up until he switches to a Heckler & Koch P30 in 'Ke Kinohi'. Another is seen in the hands of a Yakuza gangster.
The Beretta 92FS is used by Anton Hess (Norman Reedus) during the opening ambush and later by Kona "Kono" Kalakaua (Grace Park) in the pilot episode. A 14K Triad assassin uses one in "Malama Ka Aina" (S01E03). A kidnapper in "Pono Maka Moana" uses one with an extended pistol magazine.
A Beretta 92FS Inox is used by a 14K Triad assassin in "Malama Ka Aina" (S01E03). When Carlos Bagoyo dropped his Nite-Tac pistol in "Nalowale", it changes to an 92FS Inox. It's also seen in "Ke Kinohi" (S01E13).
A Heckler & Koch USP Compact is used by Drago Zankovic (Peter Stormare) in Episode 1.2, "Ohana". Due to a continuity error, the weapon becomes a Heckler & Koch P30 when he's shown holding it to head of Evan Lowry (Colin Ford) in a close-up.
Russel Ellison (Wood Harris) is armed with the Kimber Custom TLE II with wood grips in "Nalowale", which somehow identified him as more than usual security for an American ambassador. Likely the same Kimber is used several other episodes as well.
Kono is seen taking away a Ruger KP90 from a suspect in "Nalowale" (S1E05). Another Ruger is used by one of the hitmen sent to eliminate Reggie Williams in "Ho'opa'i" (S1E21).
Kono is armed with a late model (MIM hammer and trigger) Smith & Wesson 3913 "Ladysmith" as her main sidearm, first seen in "Nalowale" (S1E05). The standard light-colored Ladysmith grips have been replaced with black, factory grips from the 3913/3914 which are interchangeable with the Ladysmith.
The Smith & Wesson 5906 is the chief sidearm carried by patrol officers of the Honolulu Police Department. Chin Ho Kelly (Daniel Dae Kim) carries the S&W as his sidearm as well. Ex-Navy SEAL Graham Wilson (Adam Beach) uses a S&W 5906 during a hostage situation aboard the USS Missouri in "Ho'apono" (S01E07). An Aeko Kula guard has one in his holster in "HeiHei". Assassins disguised as HPD officers are armed with the 5906 as part of their disguise in "E Malama" (S1E16). NYPD Detective Reggie Williams (P. Diddy) uses two S&W 5906's akimbo in the climax of "Ho'opa'i" (S1E21).
McGarrett takes a Glock 17 from a dead security contractor in "Poi'pu" while protecting his house from attack. One of the armored car robbers has a Glock 17 in "Heihei". A kidnapper in "He Kane Hewa'ole" is armed with this. In "Oiaʻiʻo" (S1E24), McGarrett holds a Glock on the Governor in her office during the Season 1 finale "Oiaʻiʻo" (S1E24). Wo Fat (Mark Dacascos) is also seen holding McGarrett's Glock in the Season 1 finale "Oiaʻiʻo" (S1E24).
In "Malama Ka Aina" (S01E03), a Walther PPK appears as the backup gun carried by Danny. In "Heihei" (S01E10), a Walther PPK is used by one of the armored car bank robbers to execute an Aeko Kula security guard after getting into a struggle.
A Smith & Wesson Model 36 is found by Danno in Junior's possession after the disastrous football game in "Malama Ka ʻAina" (S1E03). A Model 36 is confiscated from a yakuza gangster by Kono during a raid in "Ke Kinohi" (S01E13).
A Smith & Wesson Model 19 is used by Walton Dawkins (Balthazar Getty) in "Lanakila" (S1E04) after escaping from the Halawa Corrections Facility. A tour boat operator is armed with this before he was gunned down by masked pirates in ""Powa Maka Moana".
A Smith & Wesson Model 686 is used by Frank Salvo (James Russo) when threatening Sid in "Malama Ka Aina". In "Ke Kinohi", the Five-0 team uncovers the revolver on a yakuza gangster.
FN P90-TR submachine guns with suppressors and C-More sights are used by gunmen during the kidnapping of Roland Lowry (Scott Cohen) in "Ohana" (S1E02).
McGarrett carries a Heckler & Koch MP5A3 submachine gun with a tri-railed handguard, a vertical foregrip, and two magazines clipped together in "Mana'o" (S01E08).
In "Powa Maka Moana" (S1E17), McGarrett shows a surviving crew woman the picture of an Uzi to help them identify what small arms the suspected pirates were using.
Chin (Daniel Dae Kim) uses the Remington 870 with ghost sights as his primary weapon in "Pilot" and later in "Ohana" when he rescues Kono and the kidnapped victims from Serbian criminals with McGarrett and Danny. He also uses it in "Lanakila", "Po'ipu" and in "Haʻiʻole". Danno sports a 870 with a pistol-griped stock, Surefire dedicated forend weaponlight, and rifle sights taken from Chin in "Ke Kinohi" when he and Kono pats down cornered yakuza gangsters. It's also seen again in "E Malama" (S1E16).
In the pilot episode, the M4A1 carbine is used by the U.S Army troops that accompany McGarrett while transporting a prisoner in Pohang, South Korea. In "Lanakila", the Hawaii Sheriff Division's SWAT unit was armed with M4A1s when they were deployed to the Halawa Corrections Facility to stop a supposed inmate breakout. Rogue security contractors use it in "Poi'pu", although with a tactical foregrip attached only. Seen in the hands of Hawaii National Guard soldiers in "Kai e'e" (S01E15).
In "Lanakila", Hawaii Sheriff Division SWAT operators carry Colt AR-15A2 Government Carbines when responding to an escape attempt from the Halawa Corrections Facility. Honolulu Police SWAT operators use what appear to be Colt AR-15A2 Government Carbines as their main assault rifles in the series.
In the pilot episode, a Micro Galil is used by Snakehead human trafficker Sang Min (Will Yun Lee) when he gets into a shootout with McGarrett and Williams.
In the pilot episode, the mercenaries who ambush McGarrett's convoy are armed with Heckler & Koch G36C rifles. One is also used by a suspect that gets into a standoff with McGarrett.
In the pilot episode, McGarrett is shown using a Heckler & Koch HK416 while escorting the prisoner convoy in South Korea. Kono, Detective Kaleo (Jason Scott Lee) and Sergeant Cage (Jon Seda) all use HK416s during the gunfight with Ochoa cartel drug traffickers in "Mana'o" (S1E08).
In "Powa Maka Moana" (S01E17), Susan (Vanessa Minillo) identifies the AK-47 in McGarrett's iPhone as the main small arm she saw in the hands of kidnappers.
AKMSU carbines are used by human traffickers during the shootout at the pier in the pilot episode. Danny also uses an AKMSU for part of the gunfight. Victor Hesse (James Marsters) also grabs an AKMSU dropped by one of his henchmen and uses it to shoot at McGarrett. Ochoa cartel gunmen are armed with AKMSUs in "Mana'o" (S1E08).
A Remington 700 with an AICS stock is used by the Hawaii Sheriff Division's SWAT team to take down a supposed escaped inmate in "Lanakila" (S01E04). It's also used as a murder weapon in "Ko'olauloa" (S01E06).
The FN MAG mocked up as an M240B is used by an Army escort that engages the hostile gunship in the pilot episode. A photo of a real M240G is seen in "Powa Maka Moana" (S1E17).
A Hawaii Sheriff Division SWAT operator aims a Defense Technologies 37mm Gas Gun at a supposed escapee in "Lanakila" from the Halawa Corrections Facility. The gas gun appears to have been fitted with a 12 O'Clock Picatinny rail and EOTech sight.
