Filmed in Italy the film is about a Green Beret who enters Afghanistan trying to find "documents lost by his father during the fall of Iran. he ends up having to drive to the Pakistani border in an old school bus. The Following weapons can be seen in the Z-grade film Afghanistan - The last war bus (L'ultimo bus di guerra)


Zastava M70

The Zastava M70 is seen in the hands of most "Soviet" conscripted troops. It is also used by Afgan bandits and Johnny Hondo(Mark Gregory) when his MP5 runs out of ammo.

SKS

a Yugoslavian version of the SKS is another common weapon of the "soviet" conscript troops. In the film the sound of the M70 is used instead of the sound of a single shot.

Yugoslavian SKS M59/66 rifle with blade bayonet and grenade launcher attached to barrel, the variant most seen during the Balkan Wars - 7.62x39mm. The Yugoslavian M59 is nearly identical to the Russian SKS, it is the M59/66 which has the grenade launcher attachment at the end of the barrel.

MP5A3

Johnny Hondo's main weapon during the film is an early model Heckler & Koch MP5A3 fitted with what looks to be a blank firing device on the muzzle . Used totally from the hip when fired. Linda Cain(Savina Gersak).

M1911

Johnny Hondo uses a M1911 throughout the film. Before the mission starts his dying father gives him his personal M1911. During the supply depot raid Johnny Hondo gives the M1911 to Kaber and almost gets himself killed by a Spetznas officer. Latter Captain Bowie steals the pistol from Kabear and holds it on Johnny Hondo when it is revealed that it is not documents that they are carrying but gold.

An RPK light machine gun is used during Johnny Hondo's first rescue mission by the "Soviets". Latter it is used as a doorgun on Mi-17 "Hip" assault helicopters. May in fact be a Crvena Zastava M72B1 light machine gun but the image is unclear.

Unknown Rocket launcher

Johnny Hondo uses an unknown Rocket launcher to destroy a squad of "Soviet " conscripts during his first mission into Afghanistan. latter the Spetznas officer tries to use the same sort of Rocket launcher to destroy the bus and only sets it on fire.
