The following firearms were used in the 2000 film O Brother, Where Art Thou?:
Browning Auto-5
Browning Auto-5s are seen carried by the prison guards and some of the deputies.
double barreled shotguns
Prison guards also carry side-by-side double-barreled shotguns.
Remington 870
One of the Sherrifs carries a Remington 870, which is anachronistic for 1937.
Thompson M1928
Several of the posse chasing the gang carries Thompson M1928 submachine guns. George "Baby Face" Nelson (Michael Badalucco) also carries a Thompson, refering to it as his "Choppa" and using it to fire on police and cattle.
Unknown bolt-action rifle
Seen in the hands of a young boy on a farm. The bolt-action rifle is possibly either a Springfield 1903 or a Krag-Jørgensen.
