Revision as of 22:32, 11 September 2009
Supernatural is a show about two brothers who travel the lower 48 states, fighting creatures such as vampires, werewolves, demons, and pissed off ghosts.
Colt M1911A1
Dean (Jensen Ackles) and John Winchester (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) are seen using a customized Colt M1911A1 .45 pistol throughout the series. The gun is seen having symbols along the side, the gun has ivory grips and is chromed.
Colt Patterson 1836 aka The Colt
The legendary revolver that can kill anything. Built by Samuel Colt himself for a hunter (although it's thought that he built it for himself). The night that Halley's Comet flew over head and the night that all the men died at the Alamo, Samuel Colt created this weapon, along with 13 silver bullets. He carved a pentagram into the handle, engraved a quote from the 23rd Psalm, and a high priest blessed it.
The Colt is passed to John Winchester by Daniel Elkins along with five remaining bullets of the original 13 (Dead Man's Blood). Bullet 9 was used by John Winchester on vampire Luthor to save Sam Winchester's life ("Dead Man's Blood"); bullet 10 was used by Sam shooting at the Yellow-Eyed Demon in baby Rose's nursery, but he missed ("Salvation"); bullet 11 was used by Dean to kill Demon Tom who was beating Sam senseless ("Devil's Trap); bullet 12 was used by Sam to shoot John in the leg after he'd been possessed by Azazel (The Yellow-Eyed Demon). John then traded the Colt in a deal with Azazel to save a dying Dean...but the Winchester's later re-gained the gun and Dean used the remaining bullet to kill Azazel.
Later in the series, Dean is shown going back in time to 1973 where he steals the Colt to shoot at the YED in that time period (but he misses)--so, technically, that means Dean uses up bullet number 8 of the original 13.
Afterwards, Bobby and Demon Ruby figure out how to make the gun kill demons once again. The gun was also used as the key to a gate to Hell in South Dakota, which was surrounded by churches built by Samuel Colt in the 1800's (which is a major reason why I think he was a hunter). Altough the gun can kill anything, it only has 5 shots, and has to be taken completely apart in order to reload the pistol.
- Cartridges hadn't been invented yet when this gun was made, nor when Colt supposedly built this gun. Gunmaster45
- Halley's Comet, the Battle at the Alamo, and Sam Colt making the cap-and-ball tech of this gun all didn't happen on the same night. Show's mistake, not mine. The Winchester
Guys, it's a gun made for killing demons, I dont think it's too grounded in reality.
Agreed, plus GM45 does not know a damn thing and has no buisness on this websight. He needs to A. learn basic firearm knowledge and B. Learn movies and shows make stuff up so nothings going too be close to fact.
Taurus PT99
Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) uses a Taurus PT99 pistol several times in the series. The weapon is also used by Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki)
Beretta M92
Beretta M92FS pistols are used by both Sam, Dean and the police.
Unknown Revolver(s)
After escaping a police station, Dean steals an unknown revolver and uses it to "shoot Casper in the face."
Desert Eagle
Like any normal badass, Dean packs a Desert Eagle, and uses it to several times.
Smith & Wesson 5906
Dean gives this pistol to Sam early in the 1st season. (EDITED: Wrong pistol. it's the 9mm. not the .40.)
SIG-Sauer P228
Jericho 941
Used by a former Marine named Sarge.
Glock 19?
Used by a police detective played by Linda Blair.
Unknown Revolver
Used by mother-figure Ellen, who under demon control pointed at her own head.
Colt Single Action Army
Used by Bobby in a few episodes.
Walther PPK/S
Used mainly by Bella.
Glock 17
Used by FBI agents. Although the Glock 22 is the standard sidearm of the FBI, this is a TV show and they focus on events and people rather than guns.
Heckler & Koch MK23
Used by a very pissed off Gorden whilst in a fire fight with Dean and Sam.
Baikal Side-by-Side Sawed off Shotgun
Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) both use sawed-off shotguns loaded with rock salt throughout the series.
Remington 870
John gives Dean this weapon in a flashback when he goes on a hunt.
Winchester 1300
Used by police and the guy that shot himself (see gunstore).
Ithaca 37
Sam's seemingly standard shotgun
Unknown Shotgun
Sam briefly uses this full sized shotgun. It is never seen again, presumably taken by the police who arrested them.
Remington 870? sawed-off
G3 SG1
Dean (Jensen Ackles) used this briefly. He was about to snipe a baddie, but was mind-controlled into trying to kill himself.
Unknown Sniper rifles
Used by Police Snipers to gun down Ron during the "bank robbery".
Remington 7600
A redneck used this rifle until Sam knocks him out, but he couldn't get it to work.
Unknown Rifles
There are seveal unknown rifles used throughout the series.
Unknown Semi-Auto rifle
A seasoned hunter used this rifle in the second episode.
Browning BAR, maybe? [1] --Jakub225 14:26, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Heckler & Koch SL8
HK SL8-6 is constructed almost entirely of a reinforced carbon-fiber polymer.
Based on the combat-proven G36 rifle used by the German Army, the SL8-6 uses a proven short stroke, piston-actuated gas operating system, well known for simplicity and reliability.
M16 with A2 style handgrips
Used by conspiracy theorist Ron, who takes over a bank in hopes of killing a Shapeshifter, which he thought was a terminator. When Ron is gunned down by snipers, Dean takes the weapon and carries it through the rest of the episode.
MP5A3
Used by SWAT teams in several episodes.
Mk 2 hand grenade
Used by Gorden to try and kill Sam.
Unknown Launcher
This unknown six shot revolving grenade launcher is seen in the trunk of The Impala.
Gunstore
In season 2's episode Simon Says, a man is told to go to a store and kill himself. So he grabs a Winchester 1300 and does so.
Weapons Caches
As with their "job" descriptions, hunters have to stockpile weapons in caches, which are seen in glimpses.
Here we have a Jericho 941, a Colt 1911, a unknown large framed revolver, a L1A1 SLR, a T2 MK5 assault rifle, Heckler & Koch G3SG/1, a Mini Uzis, and Two Mossberg 500 shotguns.
Instead of a T2 MK5, that's a SPAS 15.
