INSAS is an abbreviation of Indian National Small Arms System. It is a family of firearms consisting of assault rifles, a light machine gun and a carbine, manufactured by the Indian Ordnance Factory Board. The Insas Assault Rifle is the standard infantry weapon of the Indian Armed Forces.
