Michael Lerner (June 22, 1941 - April 9, 2023) was an American actor, who from 1969, appeared in more than 150 roles in both feature films and television series, including Barton Fink (a role for which he was nominated for an Academy Award), Elf, No Way Back (1995), Godzilla (1998), and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He passed away in April of 2023 at the age of 81 from undisclosed causes.
