Kandahar Break is a 2009 British war film set in Afghanistan pre-9/11. Richard (Shaun Dooley), a British engineer, is part of a company contracted by the Taliban government for mine clearance. When he falls in love with his interpreter, he runs afoul of the corrupt police chief (Rasheed Naz) and tries to escape over the border to Pakistan. During his journey he comes across an anti-Taliban movement, and seeks refuge with them as he becomes a wanted man.
The following weapons appear in the film Kandahar Break:
Taliban fighters and Tribesman carry the Norinco Type 56 with underfolding pigsticker bayonets.
Norinco Type 56-1
Tribesman and Afghan National Army soldiers use the Norinco Type 56-1. One of the Tribesman has a smooth orange magazine like the ones used by the AK-74 series, rather then the ribbed silver magazine.
