Escape from Zahrain is a 1962 adventure movie directed by Ronald Neame. The story takes place in a fictional Middle East state of Zahrain. The rebel leader Sharif (Yul Brynner) is arrested but his supporters make a successful attack on the prison car that transports Sharif and several other convicts. Now a motley crew of the rebel leader, his young and devoted follower (Sal Mineo), an American adventurer (Jack Warden), a local nurse and a pair of criminals have to make a travel to the border in a hijacked medical car while police relentlessly pursues them.

Thompson M1928A1
During the escape from the prison car Huston (Jack Warden) takes a Thompson M1928A1 with drum magazine from a slain guard. This SMG then passes from hands to hands, carried by Sharif (Yul Brynner), Ahmed (Sal Mineo) and Tahar (Anthony Caruso). Police also use Thompson SMGs.

Most police officers and some rebels are armed with M1 Carbines.

Bren
Bren light machine guns are used by police.
Browning M1919A4
Browning M1919A4 machine guns are mounted on two half-track APCs in the final scene.
Browning AN/M2 Aircraft
Six Browning M2 Aircraft machine guns are mounted on F-51 Mustang fighter plane that attacks the car in desert.
