Carillons Sans Joie is a 1962 French World War II movie taking place in 1942 during operation Torch and directed by Charles Brabant. A Vichy French Army unit is sent to keep a bridge and deny access to Allied and Axis troops. Lead by the Captain de Lambérieux, he has to earn time when a German armored unit want to take the position from the French soldiers.

Rifles & Carbines
MAS-36
The MAS-36 is used by almost all Vichy French soldiers. The hooded front sight indicate that's second type rifles produced after the WWII.
A anachronistic Mas36/51 can be seen in the movie.
Karabiner 98k
Very few German soldiers are seen holding rifles. No clearly shot allow a real identification of the rifle, it could be a Mauser Gewehr 1898, but the profile could let think it is a Kar98.
M1 Carbine
US scout soldiers whose arriving at the French camp are armed with post-War M1 Carbine with bayonet lug.
Submachine Guns
MAS-38
French Army is equiped with MAS-38 submachine guns. But it never seen fired during battle.
MP40
The MP40 is massively used by German troops through all the movie and during the final battle it's the only one weapons see fired by the soldiers.
Machine Guns & Automatic Rifles
FM 24/29
The FM 24/29 is the principal support weapon used by French troops, principaly the NCOs are seen using the FM. The Vichy French Army wasn't allowed by armistice convention to have heavy machine guns.
MG34
A side-car look like equiped with a MG34 when the French company cross a German soldiers near the beginning of the movie. But the shot is not very clean to be sure.
MG42
When the German ultimatum comes to end, both sides stand ready to fight. A MG42 in nest can be seen in German side.
Browning M2 Heavy Barrel
The US Half-Track is equiped by Browning M2 Heavy Barrel Quadmount mounted. At the end of the movie, a French and a US soldier try to shot down a German plane, thus provoking the battle.
Unknow MachineGun
During the final battle, Germans are seen in a conquered French position manning an unknow machine gun.

Some Mle 1892 Revolver are seen but never used.

Model 24 Stielhandgranate
During the final battle, Germans are seen using Model 24 Stielhandgranate against the French troops.
DF 37 hand grenade
At the end of the film, a French soldier whose successfully escaped, ambush a German car with a young civilian by throwing DF 37 hand grenade.
Mortar Mle 27/31
What look like Mortier de 81 mm Mle 27/31 are seen in French army. But never used, cause in the movie, a soldier tell to his sergeant they got the wrong shells.

Fake Mines
In the objectif to deter and make waste of time to ennemy vehicles to cross the bridge, French soldiers lay fake mines made from kind of plates.
