At the beginning of the movie McQ's (John Wayne) corrupt partner Stan Boyle (William Bryant) kills two other corrupt police officers (his partner in crime) with a silenced pistol. This previously unidentified pistol is a Star Model B. The Spanish 9mm Star Model B was a frequent substitute for the Government 1911s in the older days of cinema.
