In "R is for Rosie" (S4E07), Smokey Greenwood ([[Michael Kenneth Williams]]) gives Rosie Roosevelt (Kevin Michael Richardson) what appears to be an M30 Luftwaffe Drilling, a combination 12 guage/9.3x74mmR firearm, to use while he sits shotgun on his delivery truck. While walking into a scene with it, a "pumping" sound can be heard, despite the fact that Rosie is shown merely holding it with no further animation accompanying the sound effect.

F is for Family (2015-2020)

F is for Family is an animated television show created by Bill Burr and Michael Price that premiered on Netflix in 2015. The show currently has three seasons with a fourth due in 2020. The show follows a Korean War veteran (voiced by Burr) and his struggle with suburban life in the 1970s and the resulting drama with his wife (Laura Dern) and children.

The following weapons were used in the television series F is for Family:

Revolvers

Colt Detective Special

One of the most recurring firearms throughout the show is a 3rd generation Colt Detective Special, which is most notably used by Reid Harrison (Phil Hendrie) as "Colt Luger," a TV show character that parodies action television shows in the 1970s, with Luger/Harrison himself being something of a direct parody of Charles Bronson. Though Luger's gun is a somewhat weak representation, it's still largely clear as to what it is supposed to be. The Detective Special can be spotted in Luger's hands throughout the series during short breaks to Luger related action on the TV, with it first appearing in "The Bleedin' in Sweden" (S1E01). The general quality of detail for this particular firearm can change rather drastically from shot to shot, however.

However, what appears to be a far more detailed Detective Special appears later in "Bill Murphy's Day Off" (S1E05), where Union president Louis "Snub-Nosed Louie" Gagliardi (Joe Buck) uses one to execute an animatronic singing bear. A police officer is later seen with one in "Landing the Plane" (S2E10).

Smith & Wesson Model 15

Vic Reynolds (Sam Rockwell) keeps a framed, gold-plated Smith & Wesson Model 15 in his house as a gift from a celebrity, first seen in "Breaking Bill" (S2E04). Later in "Pray Away" (S2E09) Vic breaks the gun out of its frame and begins to wildly fire it around his house due to both being angry at learning that his girlfriend had an affair and because he is very high on cocaine. The gun was drawn without a cylinder release.

An exceedingly angry (and high) Vic brandishes his Model 15 at a party in "Pray Away" (S2E09). Note that the cylinder was drawn without bullet chambers, a fairly common occurance with revolvers in this show, unfortunately.

The grip of a Model 15 (likely the same animation asset as Vic's, only a different color) can be seen on the standee for the school gun club in "Nothing is Impossible" (S4E01). The revolver on the poster also appears to be a Model 15, only slightly redrawn.

Colt Trooper

Police officers and a Black panther-esque extremist are seen with Colt Trooper revolvers in "Landing the Plane" (S2E10), which appear to be something of a hybrid between the original model (given the exposed extractor and front sight) and the later Mk III revolvers, given the raised rib extending between the top of the frame and the front sight. A Mohican Airlines security guard in "Just Breathe" (S4E05) also has one of the Trooper hybrids, this time with a hammer and trigger that actually move when the revolver is operated, unlike their first appearance in the series.

Police officers, one right-handed and the other left-handed, in "Landing the Plane" (S2E10) reach for their hammers. Rather than the animators actually animating the hammers being pulled back, they instead just animated them sinking into the frame.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing
The Mohican Airlines guard in "Just Breathe" (S4E05) flashes his Colt Trooper hybrid. The hammer is actually fully cocked, something that hasn't been (correctly) seen before in the series. The trigger is also set further back.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing
The guard fires the Trooper (because his union requires him to fire his weapon if it's unholstered), an act that also shows the hammer dropping. Previously, hammers were stagnant when revolvers were shown firing, with Vic's S&W Model 15 being the most obvious example.

Colt Python

A thug on the television show Colt Luger is seen with a four inch barreled Colt Python in the series premiere "The Bleedin' in Sweden" (S1E01). Vic Reynolds (Sam Rockwell) rather brazenly uses one during "Nothing is Impossible" (S4E01) to both shoot a drug-filled pinata and to force Otto Holtenwasser (Trevor Devall) to join a party.

Vic removes his blindfold after waving around a loaded Colt Python in "Nothing is Impossible" (S4E01). Note the hammer has been drawn cocked.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Vic forces Otto Holtenwasser is drop his keys in the bowl and join the party, although the hammer is no longer cocked. The animator seemed to have some trouble drawing the Python from this angle, given that part of the gun is drawn from a 3/4ths angle while certain parts are drawn in profile. The space for the ejection rod is also on the wrong side of the gun.

Pistols

M1911

A thug in the Colt Luger show is seen with a M1911 during the episode "Saturday Bloody Saturday" (S1E02). He's rather easily disarmed. A thoroughly more detailed M1911 appears on a school Gun Club poster in "Nothing is Impossible" (S4E01).

A thug points an M1911 at Colt Luger in "Saturday Bloody Saturday" (S1E02). The shape of the hammer and size of the beavertail however do indicate that this is possibly drawn after a Smith & Wesson 59, although...

...the shape of the grip and style of the trigger definitely point to a M1911 (although the grip safety is missing).

An M1911 with far more detail appears in "Nothing is Impossible" (S4E01) on the poster behind Frank Murphy (Bill Burr). The grip safety is still absent as before, however, and the slide serrations are only vaguely defined without being fully drawn in.

Luger P08

A Luger P08 is seen on a TV commercial for Colt Luger, thus bringing both guns that make up the character's namesake into the show, in the episode "The Trough" (S1E03).

Rifles

Enfield Enforcer

Police snipers in "Landing the Plane" (S2E10) are seen armed with Enfield Enforcers as they overwatch an attempted airplane hijacking. Another one can be spotted in the war film The What We Did in "Paul Lynde to Block" (S3E03), where it can be seen being used by an American soldier, which is rather odd and incorrect, especially given that the animators actually had an M1 Carbine asset they could have given him, which would have been more accurate. However, given how much F is for Family parodies the pop culture of the 1970s, it is possible (though somewhat unlikely) that this is meant to be an incorrect prop given to the actor, which furthers the parody of a rather hokey and schmaltzy war-romance movie.

This appears to be a similar animation asset but with a visible stock (which is brown) and the scope removed. The bolt handle is also absent, however, it's likely this is standing in for an M1 Garand.

Demro XF-7 Wasp

Black Panther-esque extremists in "Landing the Plane" (S2E10) are seen taking over the Mohican Airlines airfield with Demro XF-7 Wasp carbines, based on the shape and location of the bolts, the design of the handguard, and the appearance of a stamp-metal stock. One of these same carbines can also be seen in the show's Season 2 intro.

M1 Carbine

An M1 Carbine can be briefly glimpsed in "Paul Lynde to Block" (S3E03) when Bill Murphy (Haley Reinhart) dreams that he is in a scene from the movie The What We Did. One can also be briefly glimpsed in a scene from the movie itself. In both instances the M1 is seen with a heat shield.

An M1 Carbine appears in the film The What We Did, visible in the back, viewed from the top. The heat shield and front sight is visible. Though honestly a tad hard to tell what it is from this frame alone, the previous image helps identify it further, especially in regards to the heat shield.

SMGs

M1A1 Thompson

American soldiers in a movie trailer for The What We Did can be seen with M1A1 Thompsons in "Paul Lynde to Block" (S3E03). A dream sequence experienced by Bill Murphy (Haley Reinhart) in the same episode feature himself in the same scene from the trailer, allowing for a better look at the Thompson as it runs across the screen.

Shotguns

Note the end of the mag-tube and see that these appear to have longer pump grips than a Winchester 1300. Like many characters in the show, for some reason, they seem to be lefties when it comes to guns. The best complete profile we can see of the High Standard is the one in the far back, which appears to be floating on top of an officer who didn't get one of his hands animated in.

Sawed-off double barreled shotgun

A motorcycle driving thug on Colt Luger is seen holding a sawed-off double barreled shotgun in "The Bleedin' in Sweden" (S1E01). The liquor store owner also has a sawed-off shotgun which he uses to fire at beer thieves with in "Punch Drunk" (S3E06), and later holds up Kevin Murphy (Justin Long) with it in "It's In His Blood" (S3E08).

M30 Luftwaffe Drilling

In "R is for Rosie" (S4E07), Smokey Greenwood (Michael Kenneth Williams) gives Rosie Roosevelt (Kevin Michael Richardson) what appears to be an M30 Luftwaffe Drilling, a combination 12 gauge/9.3x74mmR firearm, to use while he sits shotgun on his delivery truck. While walking into a scene with it, a "pumping" sound can be heard, despite the fact that Rosie is shown merely holding it with no further animation accompanying the sound effect.
