The Tellermine 35 is a German World War II anti-tank mine. Due to the low activation weight (100-190kg) it often detonated too early when touching the tracks of tanks which led to the effect that it could not utilize the full explosion effect on the target. To fix this problem the improved Tellermine 35 (Stahl) was invented which increased the activation weight to 240 to 300kg. When German Forces first faced the heavier tanks of the Soviet Union, an even more advanced version, the Tellermine 42 was introduced in 1942.
