Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin! (龍が如く 維新!, lit. "Like a Dragon Restoration!") is an historical spin-off of the main Yakuza series. It follows character Sakamoto Ryoma through the Bakumatsu period of Edo period. While mostly focused on sword fighting, firearms do appear which is accurate to the era.
The following weapons appear in the video game Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin!:
Handguns
Colt 1849 Pocket
A revolver similar to the Colt 1849 Pocket model appears in cutscenes and is purchasable in several guises.
Smith & Wesson Model 2
A revolver based on the Smith & Wesson Model 2 appears in various cutscenes and is also Ryoma's first revolver model, fittingly named the "Model 2". The ultimate version of this gun is called the Golden Gun and appropriately has a golden finish. The Golden Gun then makes a return in Yakuza Kiwami.
Rifles
Springfield 1861
Certain enemies use what appears to be a shortened carbine version of the Springfield 1861 caplock musket.
Other
Large Cannon
Okita Souji can be seen firing a large cannon to blast open a gate in the opening video. For some reason, it appears to have spade grips like a Browning M2 machine gun.
Wheeled Cannon
A smaller cannon on a wheel mount is used by Dr Shinbei during his training, in what is essentially a re-hashing of the baseball mini-game on other Yakuza titles. It has a store for cannonballs on the side, although it is muzzle loaded.
