In Country (1989)

In Country is a 1989 feature film adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Bobbie Ann Mason. Directed by Norman Jewison (In the Heat of the Night), the film stars Emily Lloyd as a young Kentucky woman who discovers the war diary of his father who was killed in Vietnam. Bruce Willis co-stars as the young woman's uncle who also is trying to get through his own experiences fighting the war.
