Aleksandr Parkhomenko is a 1942 Soviet biopic about the life of Aleksandr Yakovlevich Parkhomenko, one of the prominent commanders of the Red Army during the Russian Civil war.
The movie wasn't digitally restored so the quality of the screenshots is mediocre.
The following weapons were used in the film Aleksandr Parkhomenko:
Nagant M1895 revolvers are used by various Reds and Whites, including Aleksandr Parkhomenko (Aleksandr Khvylya) who often carries a Nagant as a backup weapon for his main sidearm, a Mauser C96.
Aleksandr Parkhomenko (Aleksandr Khvylya), Vasya Gaivoron (Pyotr Aleynikov), Nestor Makhno (Boris Chirkov) and some other characters carry Mauser C96 pistols. Both original C96 and anachronistic M1930 version, identified by stepped barrel and the position of lanyard ring, can be seen.
Both Red and White Army soldiers carry original Mosin Nagant M1891 rifles, generally fitted with bayonets. Infantry and Dragoon versions of the rifle can be seen. M1891 rifles, fitted with sword bayonets, are used by Imperial German infantry instead of their service Mauser Gewehr 98 rifles (Note: While this substitution was supposedly caused by the lack of Mausers, it has some historical truth as numerous captured Russian rifles were converted for using German 7.92 mm cartridges and fitted with German-style sword bayonets. In such configuration former M91s found some service.).
During the human wave attack of German infantry some German soldiers carry rifles that upon a close inspection appears to be out-of-place and out-of-time Tokarev SVT-38 and SVT-40 semi auto rifles.
