It is not inaccurate that the STG-44 was called the MP-44 in COD, When designing the firearm Hitler was not interested in any more rifles but more interested in more submachineguns so the designers designated the firearm as the "MP-44" (Maschinenpistole in German) so that Hitler would approve of the project even though it was a intermediate rifle in reality though Hitler approved of it later on. --[[User:AdAstra2009|AdAstra2009]] 01:03, 29 April 2009 (UTC) | |||
