Fortitude is a British psychological thriller series set in the fictional Arctic settlement of Fortitude in Svalbard, Norway.
Season 1 sees the seemingly peaceful towns international community rocked to the core by a series of brutal murders, with the subsequent investigation revealing the dark secrets and demons of many of the residents. The first season guest stars Stanley Tucci as DCI Eugene Morton, a London Metropolitan Police detective sent to the town to investigate the murder of a British scientist and Michael Gambon as Henry Tyson, a dying wildlife photographer with more involvement than he lets on.
Season 2 takes place directly after the first season, and sees a new murder taking place in the still recovering town, as well as the introduction of multiple new characters. The second season guest stars Dennis Quaid and Michelle Fairley as Fortitude residents Michael and Freya Lennox.
