Overview
Survarium is a free-to-play online first-person shooter with role-playing and survival elements developed by Vostok Games through a venture capital following the purported cancellation of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 and closure of GSC Game World in December 2011. Although Survarium is external to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, the developers intend to include comparable features, notably the anomalies and artifacts that reference the Russian science-fiction novel Roadside Picnic, and the 'ecological catastrophe' that renders much of the environment uninhabitable for humans.
In Survarium Players start as Independants, a loose form of survivors after the ecological disaster that occurs and can join one of four factions (which they can switch to any one time). Each faction possess their array of firearms and equipment which best suits a variety of playstyles. These factions are:
- Scavengers - It is a venue where loners gather together for a better chance of survival. Founded by an unknown group of scavengers who found a safe place not far from a previously populated city, more scavengers eventually arrived and joined the camp. Scavengers were the first to face the dangers of the New World and that is reflected in their equipment. Due to their way of living, they cannot produce the equipment themselves. All that they wear is either found, exchanged or perhaps patched and improved manually by themselves.
Scavengers largely play on Stealth and Hit and Run Guerrilla tactics, they focus primarily on Scouting, Artifact Hunting and becoming proficent as Snipers but are not the best fighters in close quarters which reflects in their equipment having poor ballistic protection but high agility and decent protection from the environment. Their weapons consist mostly of Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Sub-Machine Guns and Assault Rifles.
- Black Market - It is the hot spot for meeting single nomads, adventurers, marauders, bikers, and militants. It was founded by a group of traveling arms dealers at the site of a previous market discovered in a ruined city. Needing to protect themselves from constant raids by nomads and bandits, the traders of the black market hired one of the most powerful bands of marauders to provide security. The history of the growing market is rife with internal conflicts, assassinations, and abductions. The style of the Black Market resembles that of bikers. This includes leather jackets, spikes, heavy gloves and boots, and so on. They cherish their armour in a special way, as they believe that armour is not only functional body protection but also a certain indication of status. The particularly experienced members apply an image of a skull to their clothes, as a symbol of their fearlessness of death.
The Black Market Faction consists of playstyles focused in Close Quarter Combat, Traps and Defense, their weapons and equipment offering moderate to high ballistic protection but poor protection from the environment and lacking equipment in artifact containment. Weapons utilised by the Black Market faction include initially relatively low grade Shotguns and Sub-Machine guns in addition to Bear Traps but eventually players will gain high grade SMG's, Assault Rifles and even Battle Rifles and Light Machine Guns as weapons.
- Renaissance Army - Formed from the remains of various army forces from ex-USSR countries, they were the first to face the new dangers and feel the wrath of nature. Their aim is to form a new superstate in the ashes of the new world. The Renaissance Army was the first to face the new, altered nature and therefore they adapted part of their equipment to survive in the extremely aggressive environment. Their combatants rely on using very strong armour, assault weapons and tactical advantage obtained with the help of scanners, radars and other electronics.
The Renaissance Army faction consists of playstyles of a typical Assault Soldier wielding heavy firepower and strong ballistic armor but lacking severely in agility and environmental protection. They primarily utilise Assault Rifles, Combat Shotguns and Machine Guns and can also utilise a number of military equipment such as Impact Grenades and Anti-Personnel Landmines.
- Fringe Settlers - The Fringe Settlers are another force that emerged after the apocalypse. What makes them different from the other factions is that they have learned to live in harmony with the new world, with the Forest. Rather than being scared they learned to live in harmony with it and the Forest the same. Their main idea is that the Forest may not always be dangerous and that one can co-exist with it. As opposed to just simple survival, they treat it as a religion. They have symbolism, things that simply cannot be explained rationally, and they use artifacts very frequently.
The Fringe Settlers faction consists of playstyles of a mix of all three factions while offering extremely efficent protection from the harsh environment and the most benefit from artifact hunting, but poor ballistic protection overall, this faction is primarily a "Survivalist" Faction. Their weapons consist of a mix of SMG's, Combat Shotguns, Battle Rifles, Sniper Rifles and Light Machine Guns.
NOTE: To see a list of Speciality ammunition types available in Survarium, see the Discussion page for more information.
The following weapons are used in the video game Survarium:
Handguns
Beretta 93R
The Beretta 93R.
A modified version.
Colt Python
The Colt Python is available in Survarium for the Black Market faction where it is unlocked at Level 3 "Foreman". While it is the most powerful of the pistol's in terms of raw damage it is offset with a slow reload time, low capacity and fire rate. It can strangely be attached with a sound suppressor and is the only pistol able to mounted with a magnified optical sight.
A modified version.
CZ 75 B
The CZ 75 B.
A modified version.
Fort-17
The Fort-17 is a sidearm available for the Reniassance Army unlocked at Level 2 "Lance Corporal". Out of all the 9x18mm pistols, it is the one with the most balanced statistics and 2nd largest magazine capacity at 12 rounds. Like most 9x18mm firearms it can utilise standard ammunition or Armor Peircing PBM rounds.
A modified version.
Makarov PM
The Makarov PM is a sidearm available for the Scavengers Faction unlocked at level 2 "Survivor". While it boast's higher raw damage than the default TT-33, it lacks in armor penetration and is not terribly accurate when fired rapidly (although it is the 2nd fastest pistol at 350RPM). It holds 8 rounds and can use either standard or PBM Armor Peircing Ammunition.
A modified version.
MP-443 Grach
The MP-443 Grach.
A modified version.
Stechkin APS
The Stechkin APS is a select fire machine pistol available for the Fringe Settlers faction at Level 4 "Pathfinder". It boasts the largest magazine at 20 rounds and the highest rate of fire at 600 RPM for the pistol class. Like most 9x18mm weapons it can utilise standard ammunition or PBM AP rounds. It becomes the Stechkin APB when a suppressor is attached.
A modified version.
Tokarev TT-33
The Tokarev TT-33 is the default starting sidearm for all players that join Survarium under the class of "Independent". While it is the weakest sidearm in the game both in raw damage and magazine capacity, its ammunition has a surprisingly decent armor penetration compared to later 9x18mm firearms and the ammunition is completely free for the player.
Submachine Guns
FN P90 TR
The FN P90 TR is a PDW available for the Black Market faction at Level 9, "Esaul". It boasts an accurate 900 RPM with a high armor penetration stat compared to other Sub-Machine Guns. However its damage is only marginally higher than most 9x18mm Sub-Machine guns.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
The Heckler & Koch MP5A3 is the newest weapon added to the Black Market Faction at Level 6. It performs well for an SMG unlocked at that level possesing high levels of accuracy for a weapon with an 800 RPM. It uses 9x19mm ammunition in addition 7N31 armor piercing rounds.
Heckler & Koch MP7A1
The Heckler & Koch MP7A1 is a PDW available for the Black Market faction at Level 8, "Centurion". The MP7 featured in Survarium is loaded with a 20 round magazine with a fire rate of 950 RPM. Its ammunition, the 4.6x30mm holds equivalent armor penetration to the later unlocked P90 however does equivalent raw damage to most of the 9x18mm firearms. There are two variants of the MP7 currently in Survarium, the standard model dubbed simply as MP7 which is unlocked for the Black Market faction and a second variant known as the MP7A1 with a Tan finish and equipped with a Sound Suppressor which was offered as a reward for one of the games events. A premium version known as the MP7A1 "Legend" is also available and is identical to the MP7A1 minus bonus stat modifiers. Since the 0.40 update, these two weapons, the MP7A1 and MP7A1 "Legend" do not come with a suppressor pre-attached and instead is simply unlocked for free alongside other attachments.
Heckler & Koch UMP45
The Heckler & Koch UMP45 is available for the Black Market Faction at Level 4, "Centurion" (This was likely a typographical error as both Level 4 and Level 8 are described as "Centurion"). It has the highest raw damage out of all of the Sub-Machine Gun's easily dominating lightly armored players. This strength is handicapped by a small magazine size, very long reload times and one of the lowest rates of fire, being matched only by the Uzi.
IMI Uzi
The IMI Uzi is a sub-machine gun available for the Black Market Faction at Level 2, "Fighter". It is classified as the 2nd heaviest SMG but does relatively higher damage than other 9x18mm SMG's unlocked at the same level, it's lower rate of fire at 600 RPM and standrad iron sights make the weapon more suitable for medium range encounters compared to other higher rate of fire SMGs. Being one of three 9x19mm firearms, the UZI being the earliest to unlock, it can utilise Russian Armor Peircing 7N31 ammunition respectively in addition to standard ammunition.
Izhmash PP-19-01 Vityaz
The PP-19-01 Vityaz is available for the Scavenger Faction unlocked at Level 4, "Fighter". It is the 2nd 9x19mm sub-machine gun unlocked and has significantly higher rate of fire over the Black Market's Uzi at 700 RPM boasting much high accuracy in addition. Like most 9x19mm firearms, it can utilise 7N31 Armor Peircing ammunition.
Izhmash PP-91 "Kedr"
The Izhmash PP-91 "Kedr" is available for the Fringe Settlers Faction unlocked at Level 2, "Huntsman". Compared to the Scavengers Faction's Kiparis, the PP-91 "Kedr" has a much higher rate of fire at 900 RPM but is offset with much greater recoil due to it's light weight. In addition the model has been changed, removing the small peep hole sight.
KBP OTs-02 Kiparis
The KBP OTs-02 Kiparis is a available for the Scavengers Faction, unlocked at Level 2, "Survivor". It is one of the better SMG's to unlock early level being balanced in damage, rate of fire and magazine capacity while remaining decently accurate over medium range. Like most 9x18mm firearms, it can use standard or armor-piercing PBM ammunition.
KBP PP-2000
The KBP PP-2000 is one of the last 9x19mm Sub-Machine Guns unlocked, available for the Fringer Settlers at Level 5, "Devoted". It has a high rate of fire at 800 RPM but a relatively small magazine at only 20 rounds, like most 9x19mm firearms it can utilise 7N31 ammunition in addition to standard ammunition. Since the 0.40 update, attachments such as grips will extend the weapons barrel but such items like laser sights will be attached to the weapons built in grip.
PPSh-41
The PPSh-41 is one of the four default starting weapons available for "Independants". The PPSh-41 has a fire rate of 800 rounds per minute which is inaccurate as most PPSh weapons had a fire rate of 900 to 1000 RPM. It utilises a 35 round magazines which seem strange considering how the larger 71 round drum magazines were much more common, it is most likely designed this way for balance reasons. Like the TT-33 it boasts high armor penetration for a starter weapon with ammunition being completely free but its downsides are strangely being the heaviest SMG and having an exceedingly large muzzle flash which can blind the user in dark areas.
TDI / KRISS USA Vector SMG
The TDI / KRISS USA Vector SMG is one of the newest SMG's added to Survarium available for the Scavenger faction at level 9, "Hero". It is the only other weapon to share the .45 ACP round and boasts an extremely high rate of fire at 1000 RPM. Since the 0.40 update, the weapon is no longer automatically quipped with a Sound Suppressor and reflex sight.
TsNIITochMash SR-2M Veresk
The TsNIITochMash SR-2M Veresk is one of only two 2 SMG's which are available for the Reniassance Army Faction, unlocked at Level 5 "Warrant Officer". It utilises the unique 9x21mm SP-10 round which gives moderate armor penetration without sarificing raw damage. It's high rate of fire at 900 RPM makes it powerful at close quarters but it's small magazine of 20 rounds forces frequent reloads. Since the 0.40 update, the vertical foregrip has been removed and must be unlocked to reattached, this results in the weapon having great reccoil when first unlocked.
ZiD AEK-919K “Kashtan”
The ZiD AEK-919K “Kashtan” is one of the early SMG's unlocked for the Renissance Army and one of the two the faction can possess, unlocked at Level 2, "Lance Corporal". Compared to other SMG's unlocked at the same level, it boasts a higher rate of fire at 900 RPM, with greater accuracy and recoil control but is limited to a 20 round magazine. Because it is a 9x18mm weapon it is compatible with both standard and Armor piercing PBM ammunition.
Assault Rifles
Colt M4A1
The Colt M4A1 is available for the Black Market Faction, unlocked at Level 8, "Centurion". At 750 RPM with a standard magazine size of 30, it puts itself in one of the higher tiers of high DPS Assault Rifles however despite being one of six weapons capable of using the 5,56x45mm NATO round it actually does less armor penetration, the reason for this is as of yet unknown.
CZ SA vz. 58P
The CZ SA vz. 58P was a much more recent addition to the Scavenger Faction's arsenal added in patch 0.29a, it is unlocked at Level 6, "Die Hard". Compared to the Renaissance Armies AKM, the Vz.58 is superior featuring a faster rate of fire at 700 RPM and being lighter with no major downsides barring a slight increase in recoil. It is currently the 2nd Assault rifle players likely to obtain. As it fires 7,62x39mm it can utilise standard ammunition or 7N23 AP ammunition.
Enfield L85A2
The Enfield L85A2.
FB MSBS-5.56 Radon
The FB MSBS-5.56 Radon is available for the Scavenger Faction unlocked at Level 8, "Expert". It utilises an Eotech Holographic sight, has a fire rate of 750 RPM and has moderate stats in spread, range and equal damage and penetration to other 5,56mm weapons (barring the M4A1). Before the 0.30 patch, this was the only 5,56mm weapon in the possesion of another faction, as the Black Market faction possesed the most 5,56mm capable firearms.
FN FNC
The FN FNC is available for the Black Market Faction, unlocked at at Level 7, "Cornet". In-game it is the first 5,56x45mm capable weapon and posses a 650 RPM rate of fire, a standard 30 round magazine and is generally more suited for medium ranged combat (as even some earlier weapons perform much better up close). It is one of six weapons capable of using the 5,56x45mm NATO rounds.
HS Produkt VHS-K2
The HS Produkt VHS-K2 is one of the newest Assault Rifles that was added in 0.30a patch, available for the Scavengers faction, unlocked at level 10, "Legend". It is one of the top tier assault rifles, with a fire rate of 850 RPM and generally decent stats in recoil control, spread and accuracy with fair reloads. It utilises the 5,56x45mm NATO round, at which currently six weapons can use said caliber.
Heckler & Koch HK416 A5
The Heckler & Koch HK416 A5 is available for the Black Market Faction, unlocked at Level 9, "Esaul". It is one of the few top tier assault rifles available in the 5,56x45mm caliber (the other being the recently added VHS-2). It boasts a fire rate of 850 RPM, a balanced stats in recoil control, accuracy and weapon spread in addition to an attached Eotech Holographic Sight. It is one of six weapons to use the 5,56x45mm ammunition.
Izhmash AK-12
The Izhmash AK-12 is available for the Renaissance Army faction at Level 10, "Colonel". The AK-12 featured in-game is bizarrely chambered in the 6.5x39mm Grendal round, the only weapon that currently supports this caliber. Out of all of the Assault Rifles (excluding battle rifles) it posses the highest armor penetration but only at a mediocre 650 RPM but with a surprising spread stat, making this weapon ideal for longer ranged engagements.
Izhmash AK-74M
The Izhmash AK-74M is a available for the Renaissance Army Faction unlocked at Level 7, "Captain". It is one of the few earliest unlocked 5,45x39mm weapons players can aquire depending on their faction choice (the Black Market faction recieves the FN FNC instead). It is a balanced Assault Rifle, ideal at medium to close range with a 650 RPM, standard 30 round magazine and decent accuracy and spread stats. As it is one of the first 5,45x39mm firearms, it can utilise standard 7N6M, Armor Peircing 7N10 or Armor Piercing 7N22 ammunition respectively.
Izhmash AK-74N
The Izhmash AK-74N is considered a Level 7 unlock, however it is classified as a rare drop which can be obtained in stashes in a "luck of the draw" mechanic, a feature of the game where players can aquire unique drops by searching areas of the map after a match is completed. In-game it is almost indentical to the AK-74M, being only slightly heavier in weight and is a relatively balanced assault rifle. It can be argued that the weapon could possibly be the first 5,45 weapon they can aquire however the frequency of "Rare" weapon drop's is just that, Rare. Like most 5,45x39mm weapons it can use standard 7N6M, 7N10 AP or 7N22 AP.
Izhmash AKM
The Izhmash AKM is available for the Renaissance Army unlocked at Level 4, "First Sergeant". It is one of the first Assault Rifles players can aquire early on and easily decimates most of other factions in terms of raw firepower (compared to other factions which unlock semi-auto rifles and shotguns/SMG's). However it comes at a price of hefty vertical recoil, significant weapon spread over range and is one of the heavier assault rifles with even it's ammunition relatively heavy (2 full magazines is nearly 1KG in weight in-game). It can utilise standard ammunition or 7N23 Armor Peircing Ammunition.
Izhmash AKS-74U
The Izhmash AKS-74U is avaiable for the Scavengers Faction, unlocked at Level 7, "Veteran". Being one of the lighter assault rifles, it blends itself being more useful to the agile hit and run fighter with greater spread over distances and a less effective range compared to other assault rifles unlocked at Level 7. As it fires the 5,45 ammunition it can utilise standard 7N6M, 7N10 AP or 7N22 AP.
KBP 9A-91
The KBP 9A-91 is available for the Fringe Settlers Faction at Level 9, "Keeper". It is one of the lightest assault rifles available in Survarium weighing in at only 1.8kg loaded, with an intergral suppressor, 20 round magazine and a moderatly high fire rate at 750 RPM. It is also (depending on faction choice) one of the earliest 9x39mm weapons unlocked however it only posses a max range of 50 meters, lending the weapon more suited for close to medium range encounters. As it is a 9x39mm weapon, it can utilise standard PAB-9, SP-5 or SP-6 Armor Peircing ammunition.
KBP OTs-14-4A-01 Groza
The KBP OTs-14-4A-01 Groza is available for the Scavenger Faction, unlocked at Level 9 "Hero". At 700 RPM, a 20 round magazine and moderate stats in spread, recoil and weapon weight makes it more suitable for close to medium range. In addition, the weapon supports a higher effective range than that of the Fringe Settlers 9A-91. As it is a 9x39mm weapon it can utilise PAB-9, SP-5 and SP-6 Ammunition.
NSAU Vepr
The NSAU Vepr is available for the Fringe Settlers faction at level 7, "Master". A 5,45mm weapon, it competes with other similar 5,45 weapons unlocked at the same level. It's only differing factors from other 5,45 weapons is worst weapon spread and being slightly lighter in weight with identical damage, armor penetration, magazine capacity and rate of fire. As it uses 5,45x39mm ammunition it can use standard 7N6M, 7N10 and 7N22 ammunition respectively.
TsNIITochMash AS Val
The TsNIITochMash AS Val is available for the Renaissance Army faction unlocked at Level 9, "Lieutenant Colonel". As a direct competitor to the Fringe Settlers 9A-91, it sports a higher rate of fire at 800 RPM but has greater weapon spread and is also much heavier. With the only indentical features being an integral sound suppressor, 20 round magazine and the use of 9x39mm ammunition. It can use standard PAB-9, SP-5 or SP-6 Ammunition.
TsNIITochMash SR-3M Vikhr
The TsNIITochMash SR-3M Vikhr is considered a level 9 unlock however it is classified as a rare drop which can be obtained in stashes in a "luck of the draw" mechanic, a feature of the game where players can aquire unique drops by searching areas of the map after a match is completed. The SR-3M is somewhat similar to the AS Val and 9A-91 with a 20 round magazine and using the 9x39mm round, however it differs in having one of the highest rates of fire at 900 RPM but this is met with the worst weapon spread of the 9x39mm firearms. As it is a 9x39mm firearm, it can use PAB-9, SP-5 and SP-6 ammunition. Additionally a premium version which can be purchased from the Survarium store with gold (the games form of micro-transaction currency) sports a mossy camoflauge scheme, 30 round magazine instead of a 20 round magazine and a a sufficently faster reload speed.
Valmet Rk.62
The Valmet Rk.62 was a recent addition added in the 0.29a patch for the Black Market Faction, unlocked at Level 5, "Elite". Compared to the earlier unlocked AKM, the Rk.62 has less weapon spread and a slightly faster rate of fire at 650 RPM. Besides that it is relatively similar, sporting the same weight and magazine size. As it fires the 7,62x39mm round, it can use standard or 7N23 ammunition.
ZiD A-545
The ZiD A-545 is available for the Renaissance Army faction unlocked at Level 9, "Lieutenant Colonel". Amongest the Assault Rifles it boasts the highest rate of fire at 900 RPM, the only weapon matching it's rate of fire is the SR-3M rare drop. As it is a 5,45 weapon it boasts equivelant damage to other 5,45 weapons but has the highest DPS due to it's rate of fire but still posses decent weapon spread and range. As it uses 5,45 ammunition it can use standard 7N6M, 7N10 and 7N22 AP ammunition.
Battle Rifles
FN SCAR-H STD
The FN SCAR-H STD was a recent addition included in the 0.30a patch available for the Black Market Faction unlocked at Level 10, "Chieftain". While classified in-game as an Assault Rifle, it inflicts the highest armor penetration of it's class. It's major downsides are a below average rate of fire at 625 RPM and a smaller 20 round magazine. It's heavy weight also large restricts the weapon to a more suitable to medium and long range combat. It uses 7,62x51mm ammunition.
Izhmash SKS Custom
The Izhmash SKS Custom is available for the Fringe Settlers faction, unlocked at Level 3, "Wanderer". The SKS is adorned with markings and motifs of it's desired faction, including a leather wrapped key around the foregrip. It is classified as a low-tier battle rifle, possesing a 10 round magazine, moderate spread, moderate to heavy recoil but damaging shots. Unlike other games, Survarium accurately portrays the reload process of an SKS during a partial reload. During a reload while ammunition is still in the magazine, the player character will dump loose rounds from the magazine before inserting a fresh 10 round stripper clip, this in turn means that the SKS is faster to reload from empty than is to reload from a partial magazine. As it uses 7,62x39mm ammunition, it can utilise standard and 7N23 AP Ammunition.
KBP ASh-12.7
The ASh-12.7 is available for the Fringe Settlers unlocked at Level 10, "Magister". While in-game it is considered an Assault Rifle, it boasts the second highest raw damage stats out of that class without sacrifing armor penetration but is considerably heavy at 4.5kg. At 20 rounds, with a fire rate of 650 RPM with heavy recoil it is best used at medium range. It uses the relatively unique 12.7x55mm ammunition, of which only this firearm can use.
Molot Vepr SOK-94 "Boar"
The Molot Vepr SOK-94 "Boar" is available for the Renaissance Army at Level 3, "Sergeant". It is classified as a low-tier battle rifle, an almost direct counterpart to the Fringe Settlers SKS. It sports identical damage and magazine capacity but has a faster partial reload but a longer empty reload (due to the weapon being magazine fed instead of using stripper clips). It is also lighter and has a slightly faster rate of fire at 350 RPM compared to the SKS which can fire at 300 RPM. However while the recoil is far less than the SKS, it can climb much more quickly with rapid fire. It uses the 7,62x39mm ammunition and can use both standard or 7N23 AP rounds.
Mosin Nagant M38 Carbine
The Mosin Nagant M38 Carbine is one of the four starting firearms that is available to the group known as "Independants". While classified in-game as a Sniper rifle, it is perhaps the most powerful in a players arsenal when first starting in Survarium. While slow to fire, loud and somewhat slow to reload, the weapon remains powerful and accurate well into the later levels and is sufficent even stopping most players past level 4 with just a single chest shot. While it does utilise 7,62x54mmR ammunition it appears to use a more readily available civilian or surplus ammunition compared to other rifles that use more update military grade ammunition as this grade of ammunition appears to be free for most players.
Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16
The Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16 is available to the Black Market Faction unlocked at Level 6, "Watchmeister". While classified in-game as an Assault rifle, the weapon is the only semi-automatic weapon in the Assault Rifle group but also inflicts the most raw damage of its class (even higher than that of the Ash 12.7) but possess only a moderate armor penetration (which is bizarre for a weapon of its caliber). In addition it is potentially the slowest firing weapon of its class at a paltry 250 RPM. This makes the weapon akin to that of a Marksman Rifle than an Assault Rifle. It seems to utilise 7,62x51mm M59 round compared to the standard 7,62x51mm round utilised by other rifles.
TOZ-122
The TOZ-122 is available for the Scavengers Faction unlocked at Level 3, "Trusted". Compared to the starter Mosin Nagant, the TOZ-122 is virtually a direct upgrade despite being considered a low-tier sniper rifle, featuring a faster rate of fire, ADS time, reload speed and even better armor penetration. Compared to other bolt actions, it is the fastest in it's class (barring the Winchester 1894). It uses 7,62x51mm ammunition most likely civilian grade or surplus munition.
Winchester Model 1894
The Winchester Model 1894 is one of the four starter firearms that players can utilise when first starting survarium. Compared to other bolt action rifles (despite the weapon being a lever action) it is the fastest firing but only does half the damage and armor penetration of the mosin. The weapon is ideal as an early starter weapon but falls short well past level 2, unable to full pierce most light body armor and one shot kills at even medium range are unlikely. It holds only 6 rounds and uses the .30-30 Winchester ammunition for which the ammo is exclusive to this weapon.
Shotguns
Baikal MP-27M
The Baikal MP-27M is considered a Level 2 unlock however it is classified as a rare drop which can be obtained in stashes in a "luck of the draw" mechanic, a feature of the game where players can aquire unique drops by searching areas of the map after a match is completed. In early renditions of Survarium, the MP-27M was only capable of firing slugs, this was later changed with the 0.25a patch where it could fire both buckshot and slugs. In-game it still retains great damage and range for a shotgun, benefiting the most from using slugs (as the weapon uses rifle sights) but still requires frequent reloads. A premium version with a woodland camo scheme is available with only different stat being a slower rate of fire and addition stat modifiers.
Baikal MP-153
The Baikal MP-153 is available for the Scavengers Faction, unlocked at Level 3, "Trusted". Being one of the first semi-automatic shotguns available to the player it gives high raw damage compared to the Black Market's equivelant (of which the MP-153 is superior in everyway), it's two major downsides is that its the slowest of the semi-automatic shotguns at 200 RPM and only carries a tubular magazine of 4 rounds. It utilises 12x70 shotgun ammunition in form of "Smallshot" and Slugs.
Benelli M4 Super 90
The Benelli M4 Super 90 is available for the Fringe Settlers at Level 4, "Pathfinder". It posses an unusual colour scheme, a blue on red with the fringe settlers symbol on the side of the reciever. As a semi-automatic shotgun it posses a 6 round magazine, beating the Scavengers MP-153 but being lower in tier to the Renaissance Armies SPAS-12 but benefits from being the second fastest semi-automatic shotgun at 280 RPM. As it uses 12x70 shotgun shells, it can use "SmallShot" or Slugs.
Franchi SPAS-12
The Franchi SPAS-12 is available for the Renaissance Army unlocked at Level 4, First Sergeant. It is equipped with a skeletal stock which is fully extended and posses an 8 round magazine capacity, one of the largest capacities available for a semi-automatic shotgun, the other being the Vepr-12. While it's strengths remain in being one of the highest capacity shotguns, it's fire rate at 240 RPM is the in middle range and it has the worst aiming time of the shotguns not to mention it is considered the heaviest at 4.4kg. As it uses 12x70 shotgun shells, it can utilise "Smallshot" or Slugs.
Izhmash Saiga-12S
The Izhmash Saiga-12S is available for the Fringe Settlers are level 8, "Soothsayer". Compared to previous shotguns, it is considered one of the higher tier shotguns, being magazine fed. It's unique advantage compared to other shotguns is that the weapon posses much better range and weapon spread making the weapon more suitable when using slugs, it's main downside is that the weapon uses only a 5 round magazine and it uses it's own ammunition type when using "smallshot" with the only factor being that while it does more damage it is more expensive to purchase. It is also not related to the Saiga 12K and is more closely related to the Saiga 12S due to the longer barrel and fixed stock. As it uses 12x70 ammunition it can utilise it's own "smallshot" and slug ammunition.
NeoStead 2000
The NeoStead 2000 is considered a level 2 unlock however it is classified as a rare drop which can be obtained in stashes in a "luck of the draw" mechanic, a feature of the game where players can aquire unique drops by searching areas of the map after a match is completed. Out of all of the shotguns it possess's the highest capacity at 12 rounds but is left with some major disadvantages. The weapon actually does slightly less damage than all other shotguns, it's spread is slightly larger and it is one of the heavier shotguns meaning movement can be restricted with heavy armor. Reloads are slow when fully emptied and the weapons sights are obtrusive and difficult to use. As it uses 12x70 shotgun ammunition, it can use both "SmallShot" and Slugs.
Molot Vepr-12
The Molot Vepr-12 is available for the Renaissance Army faction unlocked at Level 8, Major. Out of all of shotguns it too posses's a high magazine capacity at 8 rounds and is also the fastest firing shotgun at 300 RPM. It's reloads are relatively quick but it's range is only slightly higher than most. A premium version with a camo paint job and a longer barrel is available in the Survarium store. It uses 12x70 ammunition and can use "smallshot" or slugs.
Pancor Jackhammer
The Pancor Jackhammer.
Remington 870 Sawn-off
The Remington 870 with sawed off barrel and stock is available for the Black Market Faction unlocked at Level 3, "Foreman". Out of all of the shotguns, the Remington 870 is arguably the weakest, with only a 4 shot capacity, the slowest rate of fire at 75 RPM and the one of the worst weapon spreads even for a shotgun (matching the Neostead 2000). As it uses 12x70 ammunition it can utilise "SmallShot" and Slugs.
TOZ-34
The TOZ-34 is available for the Fringe Settlers faction unlocked at Level 2, "Huntsman". As it is a double barrel, break action weapon it benefits from a relatively quick reload compared to other tubular magazine shotguns (but is still beaten out by magazine fed weapons). As it is a low-tier shotgun it posses decent range and damage but relatively poor accuracy. As it can use 12x70 ammunition, it can use "Smallshot" or Slugs.
TOZ-66 Sawn-off
The TOZ-66 is available for the Black Market Faction unlocked at Level 2, "Fighter". It is unique in the fact that the weapon can be equipped as a sidearm and while possessing a high rate of fire at 300 RPM and is the lightest shotgun. However it's downsides are much less damage than other shotguns, the worst spread of all of the shotguns and needing frequent reloads. It uses 12x70 ammunition and can use "Smallshot" or Slugs.
Sniper Rifles
Barrett M82A1M
The Barrett M82A1M is the latest weapon offered to the Scavenger Faction in the 0.30 patch, it is unlocked at Level 10, "Legend" however this has since been replaced with KSVK, the M82A1M is now placed a rare weapon drop. It is by far the most powerful of the Sniper Rifles both in raw damage and penetration, it's downsides being extremely heavy at 13.5Kg loaded, heavy recoil with each shot and having very expensive ammunition. It can only utilise standard 12.7x99mm ammunition.
Izhmash SV-98
The Izhmash SV-98 is available for the Fringe Settlers faction unlocked at Level 6, "Elder". Being one of the faction Sniper rifles, it surpasses the Scavengers Remington 700 in terms of raw damage, penetration and magazine capacity at 10 round but is relatively heavy at 6.2kg and is noticeable slower in fire rate. It uses it's own ammunition, the 7,62x54mmR 7N1 cartridge unlike the commericially available (and free) ammunition used for the Mosin Nagant Carbine.
Izhmash SVD Dragunov
The Izhmash SVD Dragunov is available for the Renaissance Army Faction, unlocked at Level 7, "Captain". Being one of two semi-automatic rifles currently in survarium (the other being the more recent M82A1M) it gives impressive firepower and rate of fire at cost of a heavy kick, weight and ammunition cost. Like the SV-98, it uses it's own ammunition, the 7,62x54mmR 7N1 cartridge.
KBP OTs-03 SVU Dragunov
KBP VSK-94
The KBP VSK-94 is available for the Fringe Settlers unlocked at Level 9, "Keeper". It is unique in the sniper rifle category in a number of ways, the most promienant two being it's select fire nature and the fact that the weapon is integrally suppressed. While it has a 600 RPM rate of fire with a 20 round magazine, it's main downsides are it's short effective range at 50m and how the scope takes up most of the screen. As the weapon is 9x39mm firearm, it can fire PAB-9, SP-5 and SP-6 ammunition.
KBP VSSK Vychlop
The KBP VSSK Vychlop available for the Fringe Settlers unlocked at level 10, "Magister". Before the 0.30 update which introduced the M82A1M to the Scavenger Faction, this rifle upheld the post of being the most powerful. While it remains very powerful and accurate, not mention silent with it's integral suppressor it's downsides are largely a small magazine size of 5 rounds, a slow rate of fire due to the straight pull bolt action and lethargic reloads. It utilises the 12.7x54mm ammunition for which it is exclusive to this weapon, surprisingly the weapon can use two types, the standard PT ammunition or the Armor Peircing VPS ammunition.
Remington 700PSS/700
The Remington 700PSS/700 is available for the Scavenger Faction unlocked at level 5, "Experienced". It is likely to be one of the very first true sniper rifles players will likely obtain and one of first rifles that sports an optical scope. While having high damage and penetration, it's offset with a slow reload time and small magazine size of only 5 rounds. It uses 7,62x51mm ammunition.
TsNIITochMash VSS Vintorez
The TsNIITochMash VSS Vintorez is considered a level 7 unlock however it is classified as a rare drop which can be obtained in stashes in a "luck of the draw" mechanic, a feature of the game where players can aquire unique drops by searching areas of the map after a match is completed. The VSS, like it's newer cousin the VSK-94, is a select fire, integrally suppressed sniper rifle that fires the 9x39mm round. It houses a 10 round magazine, a VSS adjusted PSO-1 Scope, has a 600 RPM and a limited range of 50m and is a later model with an adjustable stock. At one point, a 20 round magazine variant was available with a 900 RPM rate of fire but has since been removed. Since it uses 9x39mm ammunition, it can use PAB-9, SP-5 and SP-6 ammunition.
ZiD KSVK 12.7
The ZiD KSVK 12.7 is available for the Scavenger Faction at Level 10 "Legend" called the ASVK, replacing the earlier M82A1M. It share's similar performance to the VSSK in terms of reload and fire rate, being a bolt action weapon but has far greater accuracy and a faster muzzle velocity. It holds 5, 12.7x108mm Rounds for which this is the only weapon capable of using it.
Machine Guns
FN Minimi Para
The FN Minimi Para is one of the newest firearms available in Survarium, given to the Black Market Faction, unlocked at Level 10, "Chieftain". It has the highest rate of fire at 800 RPM. Like most Light Machine Guns, they all give some form of movement penalty when carried, limiting both player speed and consumption of stamina. It is currently the only LMG that uses the 5,56x45mm ammunition.
FORT-401
The FORT-401.
Izhmash RPK-74M
The Izhmash RPK-74M is available for the Fringe Settlers faction unlocked at Level 8, "Soothsayer". It is considered one of the lightest LMG's at a mere 5Kg, has relatively good accuracy and a speedy reload (as it shares the same reload as the AKM). It's downsides are being only slightly weaker in both raw damage and armor penetration and a much smaller magazine compared to other LMG's. Since it uses 5,45x39mm ammunition, it can utilise 7N6M, 7N10 and 7N22 ammunition.
PKP Pecheneg
The PKP Pecheneg is available for the Renaissance Army faction unlocked at Level 10, "Colonel". It is the most powerful of the Light Machine Guns in raw damage and penetration but is offset with one of the longest reloads and heavy recoil. It also uses it's own ammunition, the 7,62x54mmR 7N13 cartridge which is sold in packs of 100 rounds each.
RPD
The RPD is available for the Renaissance Army faction unlocked at Level 6, "Lieutenant". It is the first LMG players are likely to obtain and is potentially the most versatile, providing a gap between the lighter and heavier LMG's in terms of stats. It uses 100 round drums of 7,62x39mm which are sold as a seperate form of ammunition for the weapon and thus is incompatible with the 7N23 ammunition available for other 7,62x39mm firearms.
