Boomtown was a television police crime drama set in Los Angeles that aired on NBC for two seasons from 2002 to 2003. In each episode of the series, the circumstances of a particular crime are seen from different points of view, which include those of the police, the criminals, the witnesses, and the attorneys. The series, whose cast included Donnie Wahlberg, Mykelti Williamson, and Neal McDonough, was created by Graham Yost, the writer/producer whose credits include Speed, Band of Brothers, The Pacific and who subsequently created the series Justified (several Boomtown cast members would make appearances in the latter series).
The following weapons were used in the television series Boomtown:
Pistols
Beretta 92FS
The standard sidearm of the LAPD at the time was the Beretta 92FS and was mainly seen used in the series by LAPD Officer Ray Hechler (Gary Basaraba) and Officer Tom Turcotte (Jason Gedrick).
Beretta 8045 Cougar
Starting with "Possession" (S1E02), Detective Bobby "Fearless" Smith (Mykelti Williamson) carries a Beretta 8045 Cougar as his sidearm.
Beretta Jetfire
A Beretta Jetfire is seen used by Wilson Miner (Douglas Roberts) in "Possession" (S1E02).

The Smith & Wesson 5906 is the sidearm carried by Detective Joel Stevens (Donnie Wahlberg).

A young Paul Turcotte in 1976 (Rino Romano) uses what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 36 in a flashback in "Reelin' in the Years" (S1E04).. It appears that this is a regular Model 36 with Bianchi "Lightning" grips that give the gun a "Bodyguard" appearance.
