True Detective - Season 2 features Colin Farrell as Ray Velcoro, a compromised detective, Rachel McAdams as Ani Bezzerides, a Ventura County Sheriff detective, Taylor Kitsch as Paul Woodrugh, a California Highway Patrolman, and Vince Vaughn as Frank Semyon, a career criminal. Together, they must navigate a web of conspiracy in the aftermath of a murder and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system. Nic Pizzolato, who wrote all eight episodes of Season 1, scripted all eight episodes of Season 2, and several episodes were directed by Justin Lin. The series aired on HBO on June 2015.
