Jamie Lee Curtis (born 1958) is an American actress who first gained notice to movie audiences for her role as Laurie Strode in the original Halloween (1978). She would go on to appear as Laurie in two more films in the Halloween series as well as such films as True Lies, Blue Steel (1989), amd Virus. She also is the daughter of fellow actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh.
