Paul Gleason was a well-loved American character who was best known for supporting roles in serious films wherein his character would provide comic relief through his boorish and antagonistic behavior. His best-known films include the irritable vice-principal in The Breakfast Club and the deputy chief of police, Dwayne T. Robinson, in Die Hard. Abominable, in which he played Sheriff Halderman, was one of his last films as Gleason passed away in 2006.
