Manurhin F1 (also known as Special Police F1 or SP F1) is a French revolver manufactured by Manurhin from 1984-88. F1 was an attempt to produce a cheaper revolver than Manurhin MR-73. Its predecessor RMR ("Ruger-Manurhin Revolver") appeared in 1981 and was a combination of Ruger-supplied frame with Manurhin-manufactured barrel. RMR wasn't a success and its manufacturing was ceased after a relatively small number was produced. F1 was, unlike RMR, a completely French product. Like RMR, it has also a limited success and didn't replace MR-73. The line of F1 was continued by MR88 and MR96 revolvers.
