The following firearms were used in the film North by Northwest:
Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket
Phillip Vandamm's (James Mason) two henchmen, Valerian (Adam Williams) and Licht (Robert Ellenstein) use a Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket when kidnapping Roger Thornhill (Cary Grant). Later, Eve Kendall (Eva Marie Saint) uses one to "shoot" Thornhill at Mt. Rushmore. Leonard (Martin Landau) fires it at Vandamm towards the end to show him that it was loaded with blanks when fired at Thornhill.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
A Glen Cove, New York police officer carries what appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 10 in his holster.
Colt Official Police
A police sergeant in Glen Cove, New York carries a Colt Official Police in his holster when escorting Thornhill to court.
