Detroit 1-8-7 was a television crime drama that followed a squad of homicide detectives in the Detroit Police Department. The cast included Michael Imperioli as Det. Louis Fitch, . The series title actually refers to the California Penal Code designation for homicide, which has since been adopted in popular culture as slang for murder. In reality, the Michigan Compiled Law (MCL) Chapter dealing with crimes, including murder, is MCL Chapter 750. The series aired on ABC for 18 episodes from 2010-2011.

A Smith & Wesson Model 15 Combat Masterpiece is carried by Detective Mahajan in Season 1 Episode 18(S1E18) "Blackout". Det. Stone (D.J. Cotrona) confronts a suspect with a S&W 15 in "Local Hero/Overboard" (S01E02).
Taurus PT92AFS
Dets. Stone and Sanchez confront a suspect sitting beside a Taurus PT92AFS in "Local Hero/Overboard" (S01E02). One of Luther Daniels' henchmen carries one in "Royal Bubbles/Needle Drop" (S01E04).
Luther Daniels (uncredited) is armed with a nickel-plated SIG-Sauer P226 in "Royal Bubbles/Needle Drop" (S01E04).
Smith & Wesson 4013
Zoe Fremont (Miriam F. Glover) pulls a Smith & Wesson 4013 on Longford and Mahajan in "Murder in GreekTown/High School Confidential" (S01E05). Detectives say it is chambered in .40 caliber.
DPD SRT (SRT is DPD's version of SWAT) officers are armed with Heckler & Koch MP5A3 submachine guns.

Det. Sanchez uses a Remington 870 in the shootout at the end of "Royal Bubbles/Needle Drop" (S01E04). Sanchez's 870 has a side saddle for extra shells. (Detroit Police are allowed to carry and use personally owned Remington 870 shotguns on duty.)
