M4/M4A1
I think this is a case where we can actually say that the gun featured is an M4 rather than an M4A1. Firstly it has the older style stock which wasn't used on production M4A1s, however this is kind of inconclusive as this is easily changeable. However, if you look at the selector in this image:Although you cannot read the markings themselves, you can clearly see that the marking towards the rear is a longer word than the one towards the front. If it was an M4, the front "SAFE" and rear "AUTO" markings would be approximately the same size, which would suggest that the rear marking actually says "BURST", meaning that the source material that they based the weapon on was an image of an original M4 rather than an M4A1. Whether or not it actually fires in auto I don't know, but if it fires in anything other than semi or 3 round burst that would be a mistake.  --commando552 (talk) 17:25, 2 October 2013 (EDT)

Revision as of 21:25, 2 October 2013

it says the walther ppk uses pistol amunition, 9mm, when this gun is really chambered in 9mm....was that a dslyesic(sp?) typo or reduncacy? no trying to be rude. just making sure.

It's chambered in .380 ACP aka 9mm Short or Kurz. It's not the same 9mm round as the other guns in game.

Ok a couple things here. 1. This page is incomplete and written/ worded horribly. 2. The person who made this page does not know what he is talking about. The Glock 18 is named 18 b/c it was the 18th patent by the Glock company, and in game holds just as many rounds as the Glock 17 (17 rounds). The Glock 17 being named 17 and holding 17 rounds is just a coincidence. 3. Ive got screens for this game, I dont know how to upload them, and I am going to fix this page. -Ranger01

Ok, Ive started making edits. Bear with me on the grammar/ spelling while I figure out how to get screens up on the page. Once those are up Ill go through everything and shine it up. -Ranger01

I'm the one who started the page, I apologize for my grammar. but the revolver is a .45 ACP chambered gun and is a taurus. look at the side of the gun and it will say taurus and the ammo box says 230 gr .45 auto. -527

well its a half lifemod. its probobly the colt python. if you compare the two guns from HL2 and thisthey look very, very similar smish34 oh and i addedthe title picture

The .357 from HL2 doesnt look anything like the Magnum from ZPS other than they are both revolvers. -Ranger01

pasted from main page

the ammo box says 230gr .45 auto, it IS a .45 ACP and it says taurus on the side with the bull

-I do not care what the ammo box says. The other firearms in the game use a generic "pistol ammo". So using the ammo boxes as a source is unreliable. Furthermore, try comparing a Taurus Tracker to the revolver in game and you will see that it is not a Tracker.-Ranger01

If you can get a pic of the gun up i'll look for what it is. but in the earlier animations for reloading it used moonclips and there aren't moonclips for .44 rem mag so it uses rimless cartridges. -527

more on the revolver

Upon looking at the ZPS wiki I found this It is a .357 Magnum.

looks smaller than a .357, i think it should be a .45 considering the old moonclip reload and the ammo box -527

Dear lord... the image link above, is of an official render from the ZPS team. Moon Clips are available for .357 Magnum, but I believe it is using a speed loader now.-Ranger01

never did see the .357 magnum under the ZP:S tag, i was looking at the gun. -527

Ok, now were on the same page. Remember to sign your posts by putting -~~(~) without the parentheses -Ranger01

ah so thats how you do that, thanks. --FIVETWOSEVEN 19:47, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Well actually, the .357 is and old skin. The skin that made it into the game is of a .44 Magnum. - KilroyNZ (ZPS PT)

One problem, I can't find any Taurus revolvers that look like the one in game. [1] that is the closest I can find. And If it is .44 I have no idea...

Keep in mind the people who made these models weren't exactly experts on weapons so it may not actually be a complete match to a real life weapon. The two facts we have is it has the Taurus logo on it and it fires .44 Magnum rounds - KilroyNZ (ZPS PT)

PPK or PPK/S

isn't the PPK a PPK/S? or is a PPK with 7 rounds? and is just me or do the shotguns get loaded with winchester XX birdshot?--FIVETWOSEVEN 19:58, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Well, it could be a PPK/S but size wise (compared to the other pistols in the game)it seems to be a regular PPK. As for shotgun ammo, I don't quite know.-Ranger01

Hey, why do you keep switching it back to a .357?? That was an old model that was never released, the current model is a .44 Magnum as indicated by the rounds it is loaded with which I provided a link for just before. - KilroyNZ (ZPS PT)

I had a tab up with an older edit and accidentally clicked submit. I switched it back once I realized it though.-Ranger01

Heh okay, was just getting a bit annoyed cause it was like the second time it had happened. - KilroyNZ

source?

is this a source engine game. by valvE. if so expect the revolver is a re-used .357 from HL2

also just googled the game. 1. its a modification of a gamemost probobly HL2 or counter strike 2. because of it not being an official valvE game it shouldnt be called source because its not licenced. 3. im notsaying it should be removed but just a name change. and do you needsteam and HL2 for this smish34

That's funny, because it's on Steam as Zombie Panic: Source.-protoAuthor 21:18, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
And yes, you do need Steam and a source game.-protoAuthor 21:18, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

oh ok ifitson steam then its ok to be source. but itshould be Zombie Panic: Source.make sur to add :

the PPK looks like a PPK/S[2] --FIVETWOSEVEN 22:25, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Not a Norinco

The AK is not a full Norinco, look at the front sight, it is of a AK 47, not the enclosed front sight of the Norino.

It may be a combination of multiple AK rifles, seeing as how there are so many to look at for model references -Draco122 20:18, January 16 2010

USP changed to a .45

The USP may be a 9mm to the game standards but its model is a .45 and its bore size agrees so Its now changed to a .45 model.--FIVETWOSEVEN 21:09, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

crackbone

has anyone evercome across him before. he's asemi-famouts guy from the janussyndicate.com and he will shoutthingslike, "i got them braindawgs", "cut em'up" and "faggott, bullshit and asshole". itsnot gunrelated but is game related--Smish34 21:02, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

I've only seen him in Youtube videos, would love to be in a game with him, I remember me and someone else imitating him on one server. "look at your ***hole" xD--FIVETWOSEVEN 21:09, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

ive got them braindawgs. ive watched the youtube vids and the machinima vids he is really funny at prank calls--Smish34 23:14, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

Join the cause, make the PPK/S weightless

Because of my play style on some maps like Biotec, I like to carry two USPs and having a backup to my backup would be nice but I get slowed down to much when I carry a PPK.

One argument is that the PPK is rare to find in the first place in a regular map and only holds 7 rounds and no one ever picks one up really except for its ammo. Here is the topic: http://www.zombiepanic.org/forums/showthread.php?t=15254 --FIVETWOSEVEN 21:21, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

HE Grenade

Could it be Mk3?

AK

Isn't that AK-47 actually an AKM? - bozitojugg3rn4ut 09:23, 26 June 2011 (CDT)

How did you arrive at that conclusion? It doesn't have a slanted barrel like an AKM --Jackbel 19:45, 14 October 2011 (CDT)

There are more differences between an AK-47 and an AKM than just the muzzle brake. As is the standard in games, this gun is a mix. It has an AKM stamped receiver, but AK-47 top cover, front sight, gas tube and furniture. The closest match is actually a Type 56, but it doesn't have the hooded front sight. Wither it was based on a Norinco that they put a standard sight on it, an inaccurate airsoft gun, or it is based on several rifles. Either way, it is not an AK-47 as it has the later stamped receiver (dimple above the magazine well and rivets on the side) rather than the milled one. --commando552 09:20, 15 April 2012 (CDT)

And as a response to Jackbel's question, the slant muzzle brake is removable, and can be fitted on a 47 too. --bozitojugg3rn4ut 10:42, 15 April 2012 (CDT)

Contagion

Is it time to add an article for Contagion, the spiritual successor the ZP:S? It will be released this month. --Surv1v4l1st (talk) 12:01, 2 October 2013 (EDT)
