The following guns were used in the movie Wanted
Can I screencap this when it comes out? -GM
Mauser C96 - M712 "Schnellfeuer"
Sloan (Morgan Freeman) packs a select fire, detachable box magazine version of the M96 Mauser pistol.
The main characteristics that distinguish the C96 are the integral box magazine in front of the trigger, the long barrel, the wooden shoulder stock which can double as a holster or carrying case, and a grip shaped like the end of a broom's handle (which earned it the nickname "Broomhandle" in the English-speaking world). The Mauser M712 can be considered one of the first personal defense weapons (PDWs), as its long barrel and powerful cartridge gave it superior range and better penetration capabilities than most other standard pistols. It was popular on both sides of WW1/WW2 and is possbly still in use today.
Safari Arms 1911 Matchmaster
Fox (Angelina Jolie) packs a custom Safari Arms 1911 Matchmaster with an extended magazine, titanium Yanek compensator and custom engraving throughout the film.
Close-up of the Safari Arms' 'Lion' logo engraved on the left side of the gun and the 'Matchmaster' name engraved on its right side. The official website of the movie confirms: "Fox's weapon of choice is a custom .45 calibre SAFARI MATCHMASTER semi automatic pistol. Although she prefers its lightweight versatility, she is a virtuoso with any firearm which exists".
CornerShot
During the shootout at the pharmacy, Fox uses a (CornerShot) device together with her Matchmaster, allowing her to look and shoot around corners. It's obviously based on the real CornerShot, but there isn't a type like the one used in the movie.
Heckler & Koch USP Compact
Wesley (James McAvoy) uses a Heckler & Koch USP Compact for his first two kills and his first bullet curve. He also briefly uses one during the final gunfight at the textile mill. It could be called his main weapon or his weapon of choice.
Star Ultrastar
When Wesley (James McAvoy) nearly falls from the derailed train, he is caught by Cross. Shortly thereafter, he pulls a Star Ultrastar from his waistband and kills Cross with a single shot to the heart. He finally loses the gun when, informed of his deception by both the dying Cross and Fox (Angelina Jolie), he fires a shot into a window he's kneeling on to escape Fox, falling into the river below as a result.
Check out the final Wanted trailer and fast forward to the 1:43 mark. A clear shot of the front of the Star is there, showing the slanted frame and the squared-off trigger guard that the EAA Witness just doesn't have.
Custom Beretta 92S
Mr. X's (David O'Hara) sidearm, used in the opening sequence, was a customised Beretta 92S. It had ornate grips and a compensator.
Later; it was given to Wesley (James McAvoy) to shoot the wings off of some flies. Sloan (Morgan Freeman) refers to it as an "Ammunitia 17," though no known make or model of firearm exists.
Jericho 941 "Baby Eagle"
A Jericho 941 "Baby Eagle" is used by Cross (Thomas Kretschmann) Throughout the film. Pekwarsky (Terence Stamp) has a two-tone (stainless frame, blued slide) Jericho when confronted by Wesley at an European castle
Browning Hi-Power Mark III
Wesley (James McAvoy) dual wields two Browning Hi-Power Mark IIIs during the final gunfight in the textile mill.
Unknown Sniper rifle
Made up "fantasy sniper rifle" Cross uses this sniper rifle to kill Mr. X and is finally used by Wesley to kill Sloan.
Heckler & Koch UMP
A Heckler & Koch UMP is used by The Fraternity guard in the textile mill in the final gunfight but Wesley takes it away from him.
At the front gate, 2 were seen and they were 9mm as you can see the curved magazines.
Heckler and Koch P9
Used by fraternity guards in the textile mill also at the final gunfight.
Colt Python
Used by an assasin in the fraternity and was killed by Fox.
Kimber pistol
Unknown. It is used by Wesley in the textile mill but suddenly changes into a Heckler & Koch USP Compact!
Heckler and Koch Mark 23
Used by a Fraternity guard at the part where Wesley explains everyone what Sloan has been doing.
H&K MP7
Used by Cross. It is seen in the bottom picture used 'Pistol-style' with stock retracted and forward grip down. It is also seen equipped with an unknown Reflex sight
Not sure
I can assume it's an M4, but the rail system in front makes me think it's the barrett REC7.
- No way. The REC7 was just introduced this year. The movie came out this year, but it would have been filmed last year. Unless the film's armorers time-traveled to this year, there's no way a REC7 can be in this movie.
- Ok, then maybe a 416? From this shot, it appears to be a flat top similiar to a 416
- Film producers can get their hands on prototypes before the model is released so it could still be an REC7 but im still not too sure.
- Only if they intend to use it prominently (as a "hero" weapon) and therefore give the manufacturer an advertisement. I'm pretty sure that having some anonymous henchman use it briefly wouldn't qualify as such. Also, the "producers" don't get weapons for the movie - that's the job of the property master and armorer.
- It's simply an M4 with an A.R.M.S. selective integrated rail system. you can see it being attached to the top of the receiver with screws, so it can't be a Barrett REC7 where the handguard is attached like a standard handguard.
Glock 19
The NYPD uses a Glock 19 so I am pretty sure it is one, it looks kinda compact too.
Double Barrel Shotgun
G3
The Second Picture is that of a G3/SG1, just without a scope, you can tell from the cheek rest, though someone removed the rear sight spindle.
Wheel-lock Guns
Mr. X at the beginning of the movie is seen curving the bullet with one.
These are ancient wheel-lock pistols. Probably German made. Wesley attempts to kill Sloan with one of these but is shot by fox, and the gun fell off his hand.
unknown revolver
Wesley picks up this revolver and kills the Repairman with it, then stabs it through his head and uses him as a shield while still firing the revolver through his skull.
