Along Came a Spider is the 2001 sequel to 1997's Kiss the Girls directed by Lee Tamahori (Die Another Day, Next) with Morgan Freeman returning to reprise his role as Dr. Alex Cross. The film also stars Monica Potter, Dylan Baker, Michael Wincott, Billy Burke, and Michael Moriarty. This film also is based on a James Patterson novel, but actually precedes the events seen in Kiss the Girls.
