Revision as of 07:17, 9 April 2012
The following weapons were used in the film Red:
WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD!
Handguns
Para 1911 G.I. Expert
The Para 1911 G.I. Expert is used by former CIA operative Frank Moses (Bruce Willis).
Customized 1911
A customized 1911-variant is used by Joe Matheson (Morgan Freeman) throughout the whole film. His 1911 seems to be a Para also.
Smith & Wesson Model 460V
Boggs is seen using a 5" barreled Smith & Wesson Model 460V revolver during the pier shootout, most notably to shoot a RPG rocket mid flight.
Smith & Wesson Model 629 with weaponlight and Cooey Single Barrel Shotgun
Boggs also is seen carrying a Smith & Wesson Model 629 fitted with an under-barrel Cooey single-shot shotgun. This weapon was modified for the movie by Movie Armaments Groups.
IMFDB Exclusive!
SIG-Sauer P220 Sport
A SIG-Sauer P220 Sport is the sidearm used by CIA agent William Cooper (Karl Urban).
SIG-Sauer P228
Cynthia Wilkes (Rebecca Pidgeon) is seen with a SIG-Sauer P228 while holding Sarah hostage. The Secret service agents, including Agent Burbacher (Jonathan Walker), also use SIG-Sauer P228 handguns.
Beretta 90two
The Beretta 90two is carried by one of the men who attempts to kill Frank Moss at the beginning and is also used by Alexander Dunning (Richard Dreyfuss).
CornerShot with Glock 17
A Glock 17 fitted on the CornerShot system is carried by one of the men who attempts to kill Frank Moss at the beginning. It appears to have some type of ACOG style red dot sight for Airsoft guns, noting that there is no light refraction when you look at the sight. (Usually you wouldn't want to stick an actual ACOG on a system that mounts a pistol, or if your doing any CQB stuff, but it looks cool so we'll go with it)
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5K
Victoria (Helen Mirren) draws a Heckler & Koch MP5K submachine gun with an S-E-F style trigger pack and an MP5/PDW style end cap (used to cap off other HK variants with telescoping or folding stocks) at her house. She uses a pair of them in the shootout with the Secret Service, firing one as Boggs reloads the other. In the kitchen shootout, Helen doesn't blink when she shoots. Previous training?
Heckler & Koch MP5A5
The Heckler & Koch MP5A5 is seen in the hands of SWAT officers and CIA security.
Brügger & Thomet MP-9
Marvin Boggs (John Malkovich) uses a Brügger & Thomet MP-9 submachine gun during their attack on the Vice President at the hotel.
Carl Gustav M45
A Carl Gustav M/45 is picked up by Marvin Boggs (John Malkovich) who affectionately calls it a "Swedish K".
Rifles
M4A1 Carbine
SWAT officers and Black Ops members are armed with M4A1 Carbine. Most of the M4's are equipped with EOTech holographic sights and tactical flashlights.
M16A4 (Sporter Competition H-Bar)
Victoria (Helen Mirren) is also seen using an M16A4 HBAR flat top upper fitted with a sniper scope, GemTech Suppressor, standard A2 handguards, Harris Bipod and a CAA Sharp Shooting Stock on the back end.
SIG SG 552
The SIG SG 552 is seen in hands of one of the operatives sent to eliminate Frank.
Kalashnikov pattern rifles
Seen wielded by Moldovan infantry at the end of the movie.
AKMS
Russian guards inside the Russian embassy briefly aim AKMS' at Moses. Also, Marvin Boggs (John Malkovich) is seen with an AKMS at the end of the film.
Machine Guns
Browning M2HB
Victoria (Helen Mirren) is seen operating a Browning M2HB during the assault on the Vice President. The Browning is seen firing with virtually no recoil. Just to point out, she is firing at some SUV's, and the rounds ping of the doors and vehicle body. In real life the .50 BMG rounds would go through those SUV's like a hot knife through butter, killing the men that are hiding behind it. Even if the SUVs were armored, the .50cal rounds would still penetrate the armor with little effort.
PKM SOPMOD
One of the Black Ops members is armed with a PKM machine gun modified with accessories and an EOTech holo sight from Blackheart International.
M240B Machine Gun
A guard aboard a Humvee mans a mounted M240B fitted with spade grips and a pistol grip during the final standoff. A possible M240 is seen when a helicopter opens fire on the airport control tower.
Launchers
M203 Standalone Grenade launcher
Both Frank and Boggs (John Malkovich) are seen using a standalone M203 Grenade Launcher.
M203 Grenade Launcher
An M203 grenade launcher mounted under an M4A1 is used by one of the operatives sent to eliminate Frank Moses at his home.
Type 69
A Chinese Type 69 Rocket Launcher is used in a shootout at the pier by an assassin known only as "the Businesswoman" (Audrey Wasilewski).
Grenade
Gas/Smoke grenade
Boggs tosses a pair of CS gas (tear gas) at the Secret Service agents to cover his retreat with Victoria after the kitchen shootout. Despite being clearly labeled as CS gas grenades, they produce thick white smoke that leaves the Secret Service agents unaffected.
Other
PSE TAC 15 Crossbow
Marvin Boggs (John Malkovich) is seen jumping out from the bushes with a PSE TAC 15 which is a crossbow upper mounted on an AR-15 lower.
Boggs' Gun Cache
When Frank and Sarah meet Marvin Boggs (John Malkovich), they go to his personal cache where numerous weapons are seen hanging on the wall including a Ruger-Mini 14, Dragunov, Mini-Uzi and MP-9's.
Dunning's Gun Collection
The gun collection of Alexander Dunning (Richard Dreyfuss) includes several flintlock pistols and rifles.
Hidden Cache of Weapons
Frank shows Boggs a cache of weapons that includes an M60, M1014, Remington M700 with AICS stock, H&K Mark 23, H&K UMP, FN MAG 58, Steyr AUG, RPK with drum magazine, FN/FAL variants, Mossberg 590's, Benelli M4's, Remington 870's, M79 grenade launchers and an AT4.
I can also see an FN 303 between the two AUGs, at least two Steyr HS-50s, what appears to be a Milkor MGL, an MP-5K and an MP-7. On the left, the first pistol on the pistol rack appears to be a Hk USP. Also am sure I saw a SMAW and an M-79.--Charon68 16:40, 17 October 2010 (UTC) In the "Swedish K" Image there is a Yugoslavian RPG variant directly above Bogg's head. FN 303
There is an FN 303 less-lethal launcher seen to the right with a scope mounted.
