Che Part One: Argentine, is a 2008 film starring Benicio del Toro in the title role and was directed by Steven Soderbergh. The film was first screened at the Cannes Film Festival in May, 2008, earning Del Toro the Festival's best actor award. It was later divided into two parts, Part 1, called The Argentine being released in the United States on December 12, 2008 to qualify it for the Academy Awards. Both parts were put into wider release in January 2009. The first part, The Argentine, follows Che Guevara through the Cuban Revolution against Fulgencio Batista, and the second, '''''Che Part Two: Guerrilla''''', is the story of the failed revolution in Bolivia.

M1903A3 Springfield
Camilo Cienfuegos' (Santiago Cabrera) men carries an M1903A3 Springfield during the attack on the Moncada Barracks, where he is killed in action. Camilio uses the Springfield when his Thompson runs out of ammunition.
M1 Garand
The M1 Garand is the standard weapon of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara's band of rebels, as well as the army of Fulgencio Batista.
M1 Carbine
Also carried by the rebels and Batista's army is the M1 Carbine.
M1A1 Carbine
Raul Castro (Rodrigo Santoro) can be briefly seen with an M1A1 Carbine.
M2 Carbine
Che Guevara (Benicio del Toro) uses the M2 Carbine during the Battle of Santa Clara.
Winchester Model 70
Fidel Castro (Demián Bichir) and his brother Raul (Rodrigo Santoro) use the Winchester Model 70. Che Guevara (Benicio del Toro) also carries the rifle for a short period of time.

IMI Uzi
One of Che Guevara's Captains, Lalo Sardinas (Luis Gonzaga Hernandez), carries an IMI Uzi during the revolution.
M1921AC Thompson
Camilo Cienfuegos (Santiago Cabrera), Che Guevara (Benicio del Toro) and several other rebels carry the M1921AC Thompson. Che's Thompson is occasionally fitted with a 50-round drum magazine.

A few of the rebels carry M1A1 Thompson submachine guns.

M20 "Super Bazooka"
An M20 "Super Bazooka" is carried by the rebels. Che Guevara (Benicio del Toro) uses it to detonate a weapons cache, and it is used by a rebel soldier to knock out an M4 Sherman in Santa Clara.

Both the rebels and Batista's army use the Mk 2 Hand Grenade.
