Ice Station Zebra is a 1968 Cold War film based on Alistair Maclean's (Where Eagles Dare, Guns of Navarone), novel of the same name. Directed by John Sturges (The Great Escape), the film focuses on the crew of an American nuclear submarine, the U.S.S. Tigerfish, which under the guise of a rescue mission is sent to Antarctica to recover a crashed Soviet spy satellite.
