The following firearms were used in the film Black Caesar:
Tommy Gibbs (Fred Williamson) uses a Mauser C96 "Red 9" pistol throughout the film. At one point, Capt. McKinney (Art Lund) takes it from him and pistol-whips him with it.
Winchester Model 1897
During a montage sequence, Tommy Gibbs (Fred Williamson) pumps and fires a Winchester Model 1897. Some of his men are later seen using them during the shootout with the Italian mobsters in California. Some of the mobsters are also outfitted with Winchester '97s.
Walther P38
Several of Gibbs' henchmen use Walther P38 pistols, some are handled (but not fired) by Tommy Gibbs (Fred Williamson) himself. On the DVD cover, Fred Williamson holds a P38.
Madsen M50
Gibbs (Fred Williamson) and some of his men fire Madsen M50 submachine guns sideways throughout the film.
Smith & Wesson Model 39
The Smith & Wesson Model 39 is carried by one of the men with the ledgers and one of the men chasing Gibbs .
A hitman sent by Coleman uses a Colt New Service to kill one of Gibbs' men.
Colt Official Police
Capt. McKinney (Art Lund) and Coleman's assassin (who at one point dresses as a policeman) use pre-War Colt Official Police revolvers with four inch barrels. At one point, Gibbs (Fred Williamson) gets ahold of McKinney's Official Police and beats him to death with it.
