The Vektor CP1 was a South African Semi automatic Pistol, designed for concealed carry with both civilian and law enforcement markets. It was produced between 1996-2001. Because of a safety recall, and Vektor's decision to buy back defective pistols rather than repairing them, there are very few CP1s in the United States and thus is rarely (but sometimes) seen in films shot in America.
