Extraction 2 is a sequel to a film series that began with Extraction. Sam Hargrave returns as director starring Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake. The current synopsis reads "After being presumed dead, mercenary Tyler Rake returns for another high-stakes mission."

Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) uses a Glock 17 as his sidearm. In the Netflix teaser video posted in late 2022, it is seen with a Trijicon RMR and a suppressor.
