Operation: Harsh Doorstop
Official Artwork
Operation Harsh Doorstop is a free-to-play, tactical, first person shooter made as sort of tribute to games similar to the likes of Insurgency , Rising Storm 2: Vietnam , and Project Reality . It is also being advertised as a type of sandbox game for the modding community, everything can be configured to the user's desire in the SDK. The current released build features multiple factions of various time periods, such as the Imperial German Army, North Vietnamese Army, and Middle Eastern Insurgents.
The following weapons appear in the video game Operation: Harsh Doorstop :
Pistols
M1911 Variant
An M1911 appears as a primary weapon for the Squad Leaders for the WWI US Army faction, and as sidearm for the WWII and Vietnam era US forces.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Original Colt M1911 - .45 ACP
Error creating thumbnail: File missing A render of the M1911 model used in Operation Michael and Overlord.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Ditto, but the Operation Rolling Stone version.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing An American officer wielding his trusty sidearm. Two handed grip is an odd choice for the setting, since standard doctrine at the time was aiming pistols one handed.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing A look through the irons...
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Inserting a fresh magazine
Error creating thumbnail: File missing At least the slide locks back like it should.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Whenever the player character unequips any sidearm, the character will always engage the safety, and also disengage it every time it is re-equipped.
Walther P38
The Walther P38 incorrectly appears under the nomenclature of "Luger P38" and is the sole weapon for the Squad Leader kit of the Imperial German Army faction, a more accurate choice would have been an actual Luger P08 , or a Mauser C96 . However, it is more accurately depicted as the sidearm for the Wehrmacht.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Mauser production Walther P38 - 9x19mm

Beretta M9
Unlike the entry above, the Beretta M9 correctly appears as the sidearm to the Gulf War era US Army faction. Available only to Squad Leader and Marksman kits.

Makarov PM
The Makarov appears as the sidearm available to the NVA, Russian military, and Insurgent factions. Much like the M9, it's also exclusive to Squad Lead and Marksman kits.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Makarov PM - 9x18mm

Error creating thumbnail: File missing Back to the past, an NVA soldier in the jungle brandishes his Makarov.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing Flashing back to Vietnam, the NVA soldier performs a retention reload on the PM.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing In his excitement, he neglected the fact that it only holds 8 rounds.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing "Don't forget to reload, Dr. Freeman."
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Racking the slide, chambering the fresh round.
Glock 19 Gen 5
A Glock 19 appears exclusively as a sidearm for the PMC faction at the date of this writing. Appropriately named "Triarc" in game, due to it sporting an aftermarket Triarc slide. For obvious reasons, it lacks animations as far as engaging the safety or cocking the hammer is concerned.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Glock 19 Gen 5 - 9x19mm
Error creating thumbnail: File missing A better look at the Gen 5 frame.

Rifles & Carbines
M16A2
The M16A2 is correctly depicted as the standard issue rifle for the Gulf War US forces. A grenadier variant is also available. As per usual, it is capable of semi auto and three-round burst.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing M16A2 - 5.56x45mm NATO
Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Error creating thumbnail: File missing The M16A2 in all its glory, we should all be fairly familiar with how this rifle works.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing A look through the irons, not as obstructive as some games incorrectly depict them being.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Performing a tactical reload. While becoming increasingly common in games, the bolt release is also protruding outward, indicating the weapon is empty.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing The grunt gently releasing the bolt with his thumb, as opposed to slapping it with his palm seen in other titles.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing He then cants the rifle to visually inspect the bolt has gone into battery.
M16A1
The M16A1 is available to the Vietnam era US forces.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing M16A1 - 5.56x45mm NATO
Error creating thumbnail: File missing An unused variant with a Colt 3x20 scope can also be found in the SDK.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing GI Joe with his M16A1 in the rice paddies. He just needs to keep an ear open for the trees.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Checking the irons on the M16A1
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Reloading his A1, the magazines are taped together, but are unfortunately not used at this time.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Releasing the bolt on his new rifle.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing The GI tilts his rifle to check the bolt, this at least gives us a good view of the upper receiver to confirm it is indeed an A1, and not a C7 style upper.
AK-74
An AK-74 is available as the main rifle to the Russian military and Insurgent factions. Oddly enough, it is a standard AK-74 that is fitted with an AK-74M's handguard, and is fitted with a fixed black synthetic stock much like the Bulgarian produced variant.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing AK-74 - 5.45x39mm A proper Russian made AK-74 for comparison
Error creating thumbnail: File missing A Bulgarian produced AK-74. It seems to bear a significant resemblance to the one in-game.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing The Russian grunt reloads his AK-74 in the classic Soviet dominant-hand style.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing When swapping out an empty mag for a fresh one, he then uses the same hand to charge the bolt.
M1 Garand
The M1 Garand is available to the US WWII era faction. Available to the Rifleman and Grenadier kits.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing ...and then charges the carbine, the bolt also does not lock back when empty, only unless it is using magazines with a specific BHO follower.
Springfield M1903
The Springfield M1903 is used as the main service rifle of the WWI era US forces, and used by the Sniper kit in the WWII US faction.

Karabiner 98k
The Karabiner 98k is anachronistic, seen being used by the Imperial German Army. More accurately, it is also used by the Rifleman, Medic, Grenadier, and Sniper kits in the Wehrmacht.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Karabiner 98k - 7.92x57mm Mauser

Error creating thumbnail: File missing He then reloads his paratrooper rifle...
Error creating thumbnail: File missing ...inserting a fresh mag...
Error creating thumbnail: File missing ...and pulls the charging handle, you all know how these work.
AK-47 Type II
The AK-47 Type II appears available to the NVA, Insurgents, and Russian military factions.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Error creating thumbnail: File missing If you haven't expended the entire magazine, the player character is capable of reloading it one round at a time.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Then if the weapon is completely empty, it's capable of being reloaded with two five-round stripper clips.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing The scoped variant available to the NVA Marksman kit.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing A look through the scope...
Error creating thumbnail: File missing With some scoped weapons, you do have the option to still use the iron sights for closer engagements.
DSA SA-58 OSW
Exclusive to the PMC team, the DSA SA-58 OSW appears as the primary weapon to the alternate Rifleman kit.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing DSA SA-58 OSW - 7.62x51mm NATO
Error creating thumbnail: File missing As seen in the render, it is fitted with an AR-15 buffer tube adapter and LMT Crane stock, it also feeds from standard 20 round magazines.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing In normal gameplay, the SA-58 uses an EOTech holographic sight. For reasons unknown, the SDK does not show the optics when viewed on certain weapons.

Daniel Defense Mk 18 SBR
The Daniel Defense Mk 18 SBR is available to the Squad Leader and primary Rifleman kits in the PMCs. The Squad Lead's version sports a suppressor, while the Rifleman's is not. The in game model appears to have Colt style markings on the lower receiver, while it has a Daniel Defense marked upper receiver.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Daniel Defense SBR, to which the pistol grip and RIS are taken from
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Render of the Mk 18 using Okay Industries SureFeed E2 STANAGs. Also appears to be fitted with a Magpul CTR stock, EOTech EXPS-3 holographic sight, Daniel Defense over molded pistol grip, Tango Down stubby foregrip. Error creating thumbnail: File missing Back to the suppressed Mk 18.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Like always, the merc checks the bolt after sending it home.
Custom AR-15 Variant
An AR-15 variant which appears to be inspired by the Block II configuration, only referred to as an "M4A1 M203 Rifle" in game. It still retains the FSB, and appears to have been fitted with a standard non-free floated handguard, as well as a midlength gas system, while also looks to still have a 14.5 inch barrel.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing ..then surely enough to our surprise, he also checks if the bolt was seated correctly!
Error creating thumbnail: File missing As part of the stow animation, he starts to close the ejection port cover.
Error creating thumbnail: File missing Then in the draw animation, he opens the ejection port. An odd choice, considering firing via a closed ejection port cover would not impede the rifle's function in the slightest, not to mention it would open it anyway.

The MP5A5 is available to the Medic kit of the PMC Faction.
