Reef Break was a French-American crime drama produced by ABC Studios. The series premiered in the United States on June 20, 2019 and was cancelled after one season on December 13, 2019.
The series stars Poppy Montgomery as Cat Chambers, a former thief and grifter turned professional surfer. Returning after a long absence to Reef Island, a fictional US territory in the Pacific Ocean, Cat begins a career as a fixer and private investigator to help fight organized crime on the island.
The following weapons were used in the television series Reef Break:
In "The Two O'Clock Flight" (S1E6), a hijacker known as "Mister Pink" aka James Rogers (Vince Colosimo) carries an original Italian Beretta 92S, recognizable mostly by its lack of an ambidextrous decocker in addition to the rounded trigger guard.
In the Pilot episode, an Air Marshal pulls out a Beretta 92FS on a bank robber at the airport of the fictional US territory of Reef Island. However, the slide looks suspiciously pulled back, indicating that it is probably an airsoft gas gun replica of the Beretta 92 (with no green gas pressure to push the slide forward). A suppressed 92FS is seen in "Despot" (S1E7).
Former FBI agent Jake Elliot (Ray Stevenson) carries a Glock 19 as his personal sidearm. A hijacker uses a Glock 19 in "The Two O'Clock Flight" (S1E6).
In the Pilot episode, a plane passenger sitting in 15A (Stephen Anderton) pulls a Smith & Wesson Model 10 Snub out of his ankle holster and holds a baggage handler hostage at the Reef Island Airport. Note: in the credits he is listed as "15A", however in the episode his seat is described as "4B" so this is an error in the credits.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
A Smith & Wesson Model 36 is used in "Buried Things" (S1E3) and "Blue Skies" (S1E10). A Model 26 with a 3" barrel is used by Regina O'Casey (La La Anthony) in "Blue Skies".
Former Navy SEAL Billy Knox (Robert Reitano) pulls up a TDI Vector with an EOTech sight out of the surf during an attack, however this seems to be an airsoft version.
Micro Uzi
Detective Hines (Adam Booth) uses a Micro Uzi throughout "Buried Things" (S1E3).
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
Interestingly enough, the ubiquitous H&K MP5 only appears once in this series, in "Welcome to the Jungle" (S1E4), carried either by personal bodyguards or Thai pirates. They appear to use the Heckler & Koch MP5A3 model specifically.
Heckler & Koch MP5K
In "Welcome to the Jungle" (S1E04), Sawyer's entourage of exclusively female bodyguards seem to carry lightweight (aka airsoft) MP5Ks. Considering the length of the receiver, the fact that they seem to be very lightweight, and they are never seen firing, they appear to be Daisy MP5K Airsoft replicas.
Rifles
Norinco Type 56
Norinco Type 56s (as identified by the hooded Chinese front sight) as seen wielded by a foreign General and his bodyguards in "The Despot" (S1E7).
M16A1s are used by one of one of Stuyler's mercenaries in "Lost and Found" (S1E2) and by Thai pirates in "Welcome to the Jungle" (S1E4).
CQB-R/Mk 18 Mod 0
During a SWAT raid on the island, Detective Wyatt Cole (Desmond Chiam) wields an Mk 18 Mod 0/CQB-R, but this is possibly an airsoft rifle.
Well D99 Airsoft M4 Rifle
Throughout the series, the Well D99 Airsoft M4 appears a lot as a SWAT weapon, presumably standing in for the M4A1. This is budget airsoft rifle that has a unique 12.5" barrel.
GAU-5/A/B
Richard Stuyler (Dustin Clare) carries a GAU-5/A/B (built on a select-fire SP1 lower) with a birdcage flash hider attached instead of the XM177E1-style muzzle brake. This may be a cut down Colt Sporter Carbine made to emulate a GAU-5/A/B because of the bayonet lug. None of the original Colt 10", 10.5" or 11.5" variants had bayonet lugs.
Ruger SR556E
An Australian diplomat (Chris Haywood) who ends up being an field chief for Australian Intelligence uses a Ruger SR556E in a botched assassination attempt in "Dream Lover" (S1E11).
Mid-Length AR-15 Variants
Bushmaster ACR
The SWAT Sergeant (Jeremiah Wray) uses a Bushmaster ACR in "Welcome to the Jungle" (S1E4). This appears to be an airsoft rifle.
Leader Dynamics T2 MK5
A Thai mercenary uses a T2 MK5 in "Welcome to the Jungle" (S1E4). Wyatt Cole (Desmond Chiam) takes it off of him in the same episode.
One of Stuyler's mercenaries uses a Steyr AUG HBAR in "Welcome to the Jungle" (S1E4).
Tikka T3
Reef Police Sergeant Kristy Ellis (Laura Gordon) pulls out a Tikka T3 from a case during a plane hijacking in "The Two O'Clock Flight" (S1E6). Detective Wyatt Cole also uses the same rifle for a sniper shot in the same episode.
Shotguns
Sawed Off Double Barreled Shotgun
Mossberg 500
In the Episode "Welcome to the Jungle" one of Stuyler's mercenaries carries a Mossberg 500 with Heat shield and full stock during the rescue mission.
Mossberg 590 Mariner
Remington 870
The prison guards in Episode 12 'Prison Break" appear to be holding Remington 870 shotguns. They're hard to see, but with multiple viewings the shape appears to be an 870.
Launchers
LP-42 Flare Gun
Raven (Ayeesha Ash) fires a German WW2 LP-42 Flare Pistol during a mercenary assault on a island in S01E02 “Lost and Found”.
AirTronic PSRL
The American version of the classic Russian RPG-7 Launcher, the AirTronic PSRL is seen leaning against a wall in a police evidence room in S01E09 ""The Hohenzollern Collection".
Other Weapons
Autoloading Spear Gun
An apparently fictional autoloading Spear gun (with laser sight) is used by a killer on a jetski in S1E08 "The Comeback".
Zip Gun
Gun Collections
In the S1E05 "The Green Tide" a group of eco-terrorists are framed with a table of 'planted handguns' during their arrest.
In S1E09 "The Hohenzollern Collection" Cat Chambers is trapped in a gun evidence room at the police station. There are multiple weapons visible on the tables.
