Nudelman-Suranov NS-23 and Nudelman-Rikhter NR-23 are Soviet aircraft autocannons.

NS-23 was designed in 1944 as a lightweight weapon that couls be a replacement for both ShVAK-20, used on fighter planes, and VYa-23, the main gun on Il-2 ground attack plane. NS-23 was chambered in 23x115 mm, a new round that was derived from the 14.5x114 mm by necking it out to 23 mm to use VYa projectile. This autocannon was mounted on La-9 and La-11 fighter planes, MiG-9, MiG-15 (early version), Yak-15 and Yak-17 jet fighter plane and Il-10 ground attack plane.

NR-23 is an improved version of NS-23, with double side feeding system, increased rate of fire and more durable barrel. It was put into service in 1948 and was used on MiG-15bis, MiG-17, MiG-19 and some other fighter planes, Il-10M ground attack planes, Tu-4 and Il-28 bombers and Be-6 hydroplane.
