Story of a Real Man (Russian: Повесть о настоящем человеке; Povest o nastoyashchem cheloveke) is a Soviet 1948 war drama, directed by Aleksandr Stolper and adapted from the novel by Boris Polevoy which it turn is based on the real story of Soviet pilot Aleksey Maresyev (in the novel and film he is called Meresyev).
