Nudelman-Suranov NS-23 and Nudelman-Rikhter NR-23 are Soviet aircraft autocannons.
NS-23 was designed in 1944 as a lightweight weapon that couls be a replacement for both ShVAK-20, used on fighter planes, and VYa-23, the main gun on Il-2 ground attack plane. NS-23 was chambered in 23x115 mm, a new round that was derived from the 14.5x114 mm by necking it out to 23 mm to use VYa projectile.
