This game makes so many references to Syphon Filter that I think it warrants being included in a "Related" heading on the SF series template. Spartan198 (talk) 04:14, 9 September 2019 (EDT)

Iron Mike and Colonel Garret both have "holster stuffer" revolvers that aren't the guns they actually use. I need to get an image of Iron Mike's, but here's Garret's.

It's clearly not his Taurus. The grip panels scream Smith & Wesson to me, but the screw on the frame above the trigger is throwing me off. Spartan198 (talk) 04:54, 18 April 2021 (EDT)

Game Informer gameplay

Footage from Game Informer's early look at gameplay also shows a Benelli M4 shotgun, an M60, and some kind of Ruger rifle (didn't see it clearly, just saw its name pop up during one of their story playthroughs). --Wuzh (talk) 21:44, 29 May 2018 (EDT)

Cut

The Beretta and the Honey Badger seem to have been cut from the game. I can find neither at any of the gun merchants in the game and the NERO soldiers like the one shown are all armed with fixed-stock MP5s instead. Spartan198 (talk) 10:41, 29 April 2019 (EDT)

Scratch that on the Honey Badger, it becomes unlocked by completing the marauder camp storyline. Spartan198 (talk) 19:56, 3 May 2019 (EDT)

Moving the Beretta entry here since it doesn't seem to be in the game.

FYI we always include cut weapons on main pages, as long as they were featured in official trailers. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 15:53, 19 May 2019 (EDT)

Will get to it

I'm gonna play this over again at some point soon. When I do, I'll finally nail down all the weapons, their names, and when, where, and how they're unlocked. Spartan198 (talk) 21:06, 15 May 2019 (EDT)

Unknowns

Deacon threatens O'Brian with his pistol.

Deacon holds a female marauder with a .22 caliber rifle at gunpoint.
The pistol looks like the bastard spawn of a Sig P226 and a Norinco QSZ-92 and that rifle is a Ruger 10/22 with a 25 round magazine and the flash hider and front sight of a Ruger Mini-14. Black Irish Paddy (talk) 10:47, 16 May 2019 (EDT)

A couple more.

Smith & Wesson Model 460?

Spartan198 (talk) 04:22, 31 May 2019 (EDT)

The revolver reminds me of the Dan Wesson PPC. PyramidHead (talk) 16:03, 11 June 2019 (EDT)
The rifle looks almost like a sporterized AWM, and allow me to say that if anyone ever did such a thing they should be hanged. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 15:38, 12 June 2019 (EDT)

Nock Gun

The Nock Gun appears as the "Nock Volley" and is treated as a shotgun in the game, but how should it be classified on the page? Spartan198 (talk) 08:44, 30 May 2019 (EDT)

Usually I have a full if forceful opinion on these things but this time.. eh I don't know. :P Since it's treated as a shotgun in-game and indeed what examples there are were basically used as such - That plus if it is smoothbore like almost all the real ones and thus technically not a 'rifle', well, I guess the shotgun category it's as good a place as any for it.
HOWEVER - If we put it in the 'rifle' categories on other pages, well as I said elsewhere if we can't always be exactly precisely infinitesimally correct we should be at least consistent. StanTheMan (talk) 23:01, 11 June 2019 (EDT)

Considering that Benelli Supernova is depicted in the all menus in its usual form, I am sure that it was converted into AA-12 ersatz at the very last moment. --Slon95 (talk) 12:06, 12 June 2019 (EDT)

Possibly. Maybe they realized it was no better than the M4 Super 90 that can be bought at Lost Lake? Either way, I do like it, drum mag and all. Spartan198 (talk) 20:29, 12 June 2019 (EDT)

New sniper rifle coming this week

The next update coming this week will include a NG+ mode as well as a new sniper rifle[1], which seems to be another Syphon Filter export (which reminds me, I need to get screencaps of the IPCA stun gun for this page). This same configuration is listed on the Logan's Shadow page as the "HK22E1", though it looks like an SR9 with an HK21E's clubfoot buttstock to me.

This game makes so many references to Syphon Filter that I think it warrants being included in a "Related" heading on the SF series template. Spartan198 (talk) 04:14, 9 September 2019 (EDT)

Holster Stuffers

Iron Mike and Colonel Garret both have "holster stuffer" revolvers that aren't the guns they actually use. I need to get an image of Iron Mike's, but here's Garret's.
