Outpost in the Mountains (Original title: Застава в горах, Zastava v gorakh) is a Soviet 1953 adventure movie directed by Konstantin Yudin and Vladimir Gerasimov. The story takes place on Soviet-Iranian border in mountain region. The Soviet border guard outpost under command of Sr. Lt. Lunin controls an anxious sector of the border. On the Iranian territory US intelligence agents, lead by Col. Bridger and Maj. Morrow, plan to infiltrate a spy across the border. In order to draw off the border guards and weaken the security Morrow hires local brigands to make a raid on Soviet territory.

Pistols
Tokarev TT-33
Sr. Lt. Sergei Lunin (Vladlen Davydov) carries a TT-33 in holster. Maj. Morrow (Vladimir Belokurov) uses a TT (possibly a substitution for a similar looking Colt Model 1903) during the night chase for Ismail-Beg.
Steyr M1912
When Morrow (Vladimir Belokurov) stands over the body of Ismail-Beg, his previously seen TT-33 switches to a Steyr M1912 in a continuity error.
Colt M1911A1
Colt M1911A1 pistols are seen in hands of several brigands. In the final scene both Morrow (Vladimir Belokurov) and his assistant Stanley (Oleg Solyus) use M1911A1 pistols.
Walther P38
A Walther P38 is seen in hands of a brigand. During the night chase Ismail-Beg (Mukhamejan Kasymov) holds a pistol, which also appears to be a Walther P38.
Submachine Guns
PPSh-41
Many Soviet border guards, including Sr. Lt. Lunin (Vladlen Davydov), Sgt. Kuleshov (Sergei Gurzo), Starshina (Sgt. Maj.) Zakharov (Lev Lobov) and Pvt. Vorobyov (Aleksandr Susnin), carry PPSh-41 SMGs.
Thompson M1928A1
The Thompson M1928A1 submachine guns are seen in hands of several brigands.

During the battle on the border some brigands use MP40 submachine guns.

Iranian border guards are armed with Vz.24 Czech Mauser rifles (possibly as a substitution for VZ-98/29 Persian Mausers).
