Another Gatling gun appears in Sengoku Toranojo's mansion. This same model would later appear in ''[[Yakuza Kiwami 2]]'' when raiding Toranosuke Sengoku's secret Osaka Castle.
A more accurate Gatling gun model appears later on in the game.

Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin! (龍が如く 維新!, lit. "Like a Dragon Restoration!") is an historical spin-off of the main Yakuza series. It follows character Sakamoto Ryoma through the Bakumatsu period of Edo period. While mostly focused on sword fighting, firearms do appear which is accurate to the era.

The following weapons appear in the video game Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin!:

Handguns

Break-action pistol

Main antagonist Yamauchi Youdou uses what appears to be a break-action single-shot pistol.

Yamauchi tells Ryoma his plan to sell Japan to the UK and become a British colony. In an ironic case of life imitating art, five years after this game was released, the real British Prime Minister Boris Johnson would come up with a similar plan to sell the UK to the USA and become an American colony.

"Imported Revolver"

A revolver similar to the Colt 1861 Navy model appears in cutscenes and forms the "Imported Revolver" class of pistols. It also has a Colt 1851 Navy hexagonal barrel, Colt Walker's square shape triggerguard (which is mounted backwards) and cartridge-converted cylinder. Bizarrely, the weapon also still appears to have the loading lever of the percussion cap model, though it is encased in a surround which would render it useless. It also has a S&W-like hinge, which means that it should work as a top break.

Toudou Heisuke aims the Colt. Note the frame under the barrel surrounding either an offset and useless extractor rod or an immobilised and even more useless loading lever, and the front top-break hinge.

"Quick Fire" version in the blacksmiths' menu. It in particular, returns the revolver to his native trigger guard, and removes the under-barrel frame. Here it can be seen that the former loading lever appears to be a cylinder retaining pin.

A modified version of the Colt that's so steampunk it looks like it came straight out of Jack's gun collection.

"Double Strike"

The "Double Strike" is a modified version of "Imported Revolver". It, however, looks very different, somewhat resembling the pinfire revolvers of that time.

Smith & Wesson Model 2

A revolver based on the Smith & Wesson Model 2 appears in various cutscenes and is also Ryoma's first revolver model, fittingly named the "Model 2." It also has a grips from Smith & Wesson Model 1 1/2 and trigger group from Colt Dragoon (whith triggerguard is mounted backwards, as on the "Imported Revovler"). This forms the basis of the "Model 2" class of pistols, the ultimate version of which is called the Golden Gun and appropriately has a golden finish. The Golden Gun then makes a return in Yakuza Kiwami.

Oddly enough, its upgrated versions are called "Model 3", "Model 10" and "Model 14", although it is the same Model 2 only with a different finish.

"Domestic Revolver"

This model appears as the "Domestic Revolver" group and weirdly appears to have a wooden frame. It seems to be portraying a makeshift copy of above Model 2 (it seems also sharing its bottom-break action), and bears a passing resemblance to the Dreyse-Kufahl needlefire revolver.

Percussion Pistol-Style Revolver

The "Hayate", one of the many revolver models available on the game is one that has apparently been dressed up to look like a percussion or flintlock type pistol. It is an updated version of "Domestic Revolver", but unlike other versions, it seems nothing like it. It resembles the early flintlock revolvers, although the lock is missing and it evidently fires metal cartridges.

The "Wooden Gun" is a group of revolvers, with a design resembling the Savage 1861 Navy.

Certain enemies use what appears to be a shortened carbine version of the Springfield 1861 caplock musket.

Wheeled Cannon

A smaller cannon on a wheel mount is used by Dr Shinbei during his training, in what is essentially a re-hashing of the baseball mini-game on other Yakuza titles. It has a store for cannonballs on the side, although it is muzzle loaded.
