The Expanse is a science fiction space opera mystery series set 200 years in the future after humanity has colonized most of the Solar System. Conflict now arises between the now independent Mars Congressional Republic and the United Nations-controlled Earth, in addition to the rebellious Outer Planets Alliance (OPA) located on the asteroid belt. The television show is based on the series of novels written by James S. A. Corey and the cast includes Thomas Jane and Wes Chatham. The series premiered in the US on SyFy in November of 2015.
