Mile 22 is an upcoming 2018 action film directed by Peter Berg that is scheduled for release on August 3, 2018. Mark Wahlberg stars as James Silva, an elite CIA agent who must escort an informant (Iko Uwais) 22 miles from the American embassy to the airport in a hostile Southeast Asian country. This film marks the fourth collaboration between director Berg and star Wahlberg, who previously worked together on the 2013's Lone Survivor and 2016's Deepwater Horizon and Patriots Day.
