Mob City is a 2013 crime series created by Frank Darabont and focuses on the conflict between the mob and the LAPD that started in the late 1940s. The series was based on the novel L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America's Most Seductive City by John Buntin and premiered in the US on the TNT network on December 4, 2013.

What appears to be Colt Police Positive revolvers are used throughout the series.
Smith & Wesson M&P revolver
Smith & Wesson Model M&P revolvers appear to be carried by LAPD officers during a shootout in 1927. The revolvers are used with suppressors in "Red Light" (S1E03).
A Short barreled Side by Side Shotgun is used by Sid Rothman (Robert Knepper) to blast a ratting mobster in "A Guy Walks Into a Bar" (S1E01). Sid later holds a freshly sawed-off shotgun in "His Banana Majesty" (S1E04). Another is used by a mob assassin near the end of "Oxpecker" (S1E05).
M1921AC Thompsons are seen throughout the series, notably in flashbacks to the 1920's.

Joe Teague keeps an M1 Carbine in the trunk of his police car. He first is seen taking it out in "A Guy Walks Into a Bar" (S1E01). Note that this is a period correct M1, lacking the bayonet lug (which was not added until the Korean War).
