Garrison's Gorillas was a World War II television series which aired for 26 episodes from 1967 to 1968. The series followed Lieutenant Craig Garrison (Ron Harper) an US Army officer who led a covert group of operatives comprised mostly of American prisoners, on missions behind enemy lines in the European theater. The series was actually a spinoff from an unaired episode of Combat! and premiered during the height of the popularity of the film The Dirty Dozen.

The M1911 is carried primarily by the Gorillas frequently.

The M1 Carbine is seen used by Dutch Resistance fighters in the episode "48 Hours to Doomsday."

The Gorillas and German forces also are seen using the MP40.
